The owner works here so you have someone to talk to if there are problems. New rug, clean room, good internet, breakfast in the AM. We are here for two days. Good skiing down the road 5 miles ... summer must be beautiful here.

It's a nice little country inn with no frills. We would have been pleased but discovered AFTER we checked in that because we were there during the "high" season, the owner would add over $20 to the online reservation for which we had prepaid. We learned of this the morning we were checking out. I consider it an unfair and...

First time staying at the Burkehaven and the nicest motel accommodations we've ever had! First, the motel is filled with charm. Our room had two comfy recliners that moved to accommodate the TV. The bathroom was very small, per usual, but there is a small area that has a seated table, with a microwave and fridge. The room had hot...

We decided to stay here last minute, it was the only hotel that had a fair price and vacancy. It is tucked back in a quiet neighborhood. The owner was very friendly, the lobby had an ice machine and a fridge with sodas and water. We booked the king room and it was very clean and big. The only downsides...

We were up here for fall leaf peeping season. We found it at the bottom of a steep residential hill. The first night I believe we were the only guests in the place so it was very quiet and a restful spot to be savored out in the country. The breakfast was really quite good and expansive--far better than what...

We had an overnight stay here. Could not fault room and location. Would definitely return for a longer break. Short drive in to Sunapee and great walks to be taken by the river. Would recommend the Anchorage restaurant and a visit to the Museum.

We just stayed one weekend night. There is a pool and breakfast was included. The motel does not have air conditioning, but it was cooler at night and there was a fan in the window. The breakfast has a nice pancake machine, better than any other pancake machine and all you do is press a button and out come two...

We stayed again this year for two nights during the LNHC Fair. Rick was friendly as usual and the rooms were clean. He offers pancakes, hard boiled eggs, bagels, fruit and coffee. I opted for a full breakfast elsewhere, but Rick told me to take a bagel for later. Will be back again next year. Price is competitive with others...

After traveling from NYC in heavy traf4ic, and numerous delays my husband and I 4inally arrived at the Burkehaven Lodge in Sunapee. Although it took us seven hours we made it by 8:30 PM. Phew! It was rough traveling through the mountains in darkness but we persevered because we wanted to attend the craft show the following day and meet...

This is our third summer staying at the Burkehaven. We book at least a couple weekends each summer. From time to time there has been no availability, but the owner, Rick, gladly calls me if any openings develop. The rooms are a good size and all have a fridge, a microwave and a coffee maker (ther is also hot coffee...
