My boyfriend and I stayed overnight at this Inn and we were pleasantly surprised by how nice this space was. For a tiny room it was perfect for a quick overnight. The location is ideal to park and walk all over town. From this location you can walk to everything. We attended a comedy show in the evening and prior...

I was zooming through Portsmouth, barely stoping, but needed an easy, nice place to stay. Was really happy with the ease of booking -- over the phone from a rest stop on the turnpike. And the ease of entry, security code for the front door and then key inside the open room. The place is very clean, has a nice...

This Inn is actually a floor in a building that has a theater on the ground floor and luxury condos above. It has a very cozy, intimate feel. It is perfectly situated to walk to town. My only comment, which is a personal preference, is that they use soft, silk microfiber sheets, and I prefer the crispness of cotton! Not...

This is an attractive, well equipped guest house in a pretty town. For a Brit, the formula is a bit unusual - it's basically a corridor with rooms off each side, a tiny communal area and a reception desk that is only manned part of the time, and no breakfast. But it was a very pleasant place to stay and...

We have been to this hotel in the past, but it is now under new ownership. We found it welcoming and cozy, and the room was clean and offered a refrigerator and coffee maker. You can walk to any number of excellent restaurants within minutes. Highly recommended.

We wanted to sneak away for a date night in the Portsmouth area, and the Ale House Inn proved a perfect fit. Quiet, yet convenient location, and Portsmouth is a foodie's paradise. We'll be back, for sure.

We love staying in smaller, more interesting places, but we still expect cleanliness, professionalism, and great customer service. We got all of that and more at the Ale House Inn. The location is perfect, the staff was lovely, and the room and all amenities were exceptional. We'll definitely be back!

Have the pleasure to meet Andrew and Dustin, to stay one night in this warm cosy place, where you are truly a guest, with friendly hosts. This is exactly the same as being hosted by a close friend, with rooms to spare, choose the one who fit best, install yourself, I will grab us a beer, indulge yourself with anything...

I chose the Ale House Inn in Portsmouth NH which is part of the Lark Hotel chain because of its location and also because I had recently visited two other Lark Hotels on Nantucket. We were not disappointed with our stay at the Ale House. The inn is just a block or less from most dining, restaurants and other downtown...

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Nice linens. Great toiletries. Love this place! Close to restaurants and shopping. Safe for solo travelers. Portsmouth, NH is one of my favorite places to visit. I will stay here every time I visit.
