The Inn was clean, quaint, and quiet. The host, Kevin, was personable and shared a lot of information about the area. There was always something to eat (cheese and crackers, cookies) or drink (wine, beer, port, water, soda) available. It was the perfect place to decompress for a weekend.

I stayed one night at the Federal House Inn. Very historic, well kept and preserved. Bedroom was clean and comfortable. Wine and crackers with cheese in evening was nice touch. Used Fifth Street Gym early the next morning. Breakfast was homemade. Would recommend and return.

The Federal House Inn was memorable for several reasons--its historic nature (built and lived in by John Adams); our spacious room and very comfortable bed; the complimentary drinks and treats; the tasty breakfast--but what made it most special was Kevin, our host. He was genuinely welcoming and helpful, very knowledgeable and engaging, and just a pleasure to talk with. Kevin...

Kevin and his wife were perfect hosts. The house was lovely and fine attention to detail was made at every turn. The room I stayed in had every amenity I needed and the bed was extremely comfortable. Kevin made the group I was traveling with (5 adults and 2 small children) feel very welcome and looked after. Scrumptious NH breakfast...

The Federal House Inn has a special place in my heart. The hosts, Kevin and Cassie, are beyond helpful, welcoming and accommodating. The property is well appointed with a hot tub in the backyard and beautifully landscaped large back yard. I had the pleasure last year touring some of the rooms that were not yet occupied and each has their...

Five stars are really not enough in this case - staying at the Federal House Inn was the highlight of our trip to New Hampshire. All the things one wants in a good B and B, then add many special touches like the chef standard breakfasts made from fresh local ingredients, first class wine, chocolates then add again the above...

Kevin is a great host and made sure we were well taken care of during our weekend stay (2 nights) The breakfasts were outstanding and made with locally sourced ingredients. Very easy to see why this is the highest rated B&B in the Plymouth area, and we would definitely stay here again.

This B&B was a wonderful experience. Kevin greeted us (we arrived early) with open arms and assured us that he would have cheese and wine out earlier than he usually does! Our suite (the John Adams) was on the 3rd floor and he took our bags upstairs (let me say that this is the FIRST time anyone has done this...

Kevin the owner/operator takes the whole Bed & Breakfast experience from enjoyable up to exceptional! Very close to downtown Plymouth as well as many hiking trails. The rooms are large, well furnished/laid-out and extremely clean. Kevin is amazing, his friendliness and charm makes you feel like you have been friends for years, he's not a bad chef either. Kevin goes out of his way to make you comfortable! Lovely cheese and crackers upon arrival, with wine or port available. This is followed by dessert, which was chicolate covered strawberries, for us. The breakfast is lovely with cut up fresh fruit, presented in a lively plate with berries. Our breakfast was pancakes with blueberry butter and syrup with farm...
