My husband and I are veteran campers with 20 years of experience. We are fussy and made four trips here before we submitted this review. Shel-Al is the best campground we have ever visited. Super-friendly owners and staff, immaculate grounds with grassy sites and beautiful trees. Water, electric and sewer service completely reliable. All staff very attentive and ready to...

Had a fantastic time at Shel-Al campground!! Everyone was so nice! The campground was super clean. They came around and picked up your trash bags daily. The best showers and restrooms, every thing was modern and clean! Great value for your money. Good size campsites and bundles of firewood. Only 5 miles from all the beaches. Lots to do in...

We stayed at Shel-Al last year and decided to return for 4 nights during the week. We stayed Mon-Fri on site 91. This site was perfect for us as we have a 5 year old and an 18 month old and it is right next to the playground. There weren't a lot of other campers during the week and we...

Hi Alaina S, We are so happy that you and your family enjoyed your second visit with us, and are thrilled that you have become part of our Shel-Al family! We think our playground is so much fun for the little ones, and the sites adjoining the play area are perfect for younger families like yours! We look forward to...

Nice campground with very clean bathrooms, but services are pretty limited since front desk closes early, and you can't buy wood or ice after 6PM. Security is absolutely ridiculous, constantly monitoring the campground and looking for non issues. Even though we were super quiet, they had us put out our campfire at midnight. Campground was super quiet around us too,...

Hi Hugues B! Thank you for taking the time to review our campground! We appreciate your kind words about our bathrooms and for saying that we are a nice campground! During mid-June to early September, our front desk closes at 9:00 pm, and wood and ice sales are available until that time. Additionally, we actually deliver wood to the sites...

We stayed here over 4th of july! And it was a great family place!! People who camped there made us feel like family! And for the family who runs the camp ground did everything to make us happy to be there! We had a problem with our electric plug and within minutes they had it fixed!! Dropping off firewood to...

I really liked this place. We had an unplanned trip to New Hampshire when our transmission was acting up and needed to have repairs. The repair place was just up the road from the campsite. This is a mixed bag of RV campers and tent campers with some short term and some long term/frequent weekenders. The family next to us...

The facilities were good and all the bathrooms were clean. The only problem was that the owners patrolled the camp ground like police and treated us (27 year olds) like children. The camp sites are a little bit small and it could get overcrowded during busy season

Thank you, 374matthewp, for taking the time to comment on our campground! We try very hard to keep our grounds and bath houses clean and safe, and we are happy that you were pleased with our facilities. We agree that some of our sites are small, and over the past few years, we have eliminated 20% of them, making the...

Five other friends and I spent the weekend camping at Shel-Al. The staff was amazingly warm and welcoming when we first arrived. (They also work long hours, as they were there to greet us after 9 PM). The bathrooms were impressively clean and there were several located within 1 minute of our campsite. Beaches and breweries were a short drive...

Shel Al Is By Far The Best Campground I've ever Camped At. All Staff is Beyond Caring. Awesome Place. Can't Say Enough Great Thing's About It. Cleanliness is Key to Them, As Well As There Concerns That they Have Happy Campers.
