a lovely place to stay, with eager staff and a fabulous restaurant. No glitz, but lots of charm. Steep stairs to the second floor would make it problematic for less-than-agile guests, but there are ground floor rooms available. We really enjoyed our week there. Breakfasts, which are included in the room rate, are so good!

We stayed at the New London Inn on December 26, 2016. A true delight! Skaters could be seen out of our window on the town rink and the Christmas decorations on Main St were fantastic. The room was spacious and up-to-date, despite being an historic property. We had a great night's sleep. Breakfast was stellar (I had the blueberry pancakes)....

I was stuck in a freezing rain storm, and was not able to drive back to Boston. My husband booked a room, and Ashlee came back to the hotel after 11pm to let me in and settle me in a lovely room with a queen bed. After some near death experiences driving 9 miles in 2.5 hours, the New London...

Our second visit on thanksgiving--we have thanksgiving with nearby family--and we really enjoyed our time in this historic inn. Location is in charming town center. We woke up to scenic, light snow. We had a very pleasant room--#29 with a king-sized,comfotable bed. Room is large and attractive with easy chair, nice furniture, and a closet. Bathroom is tiny with a...

We stayed just one night, but we enjoyed our stay. We ordered a cheese plate, shrimp cocktail and creme brulee along with drinks at the lounge bar. Fast and very tasty. The bartender was very attentive, clever and fun. The room was basic. Not many AC outlets but the bathroom was 20th century. We both ordered the Eggs Benedict for...

Is a clean, well kept inn. Is not modern but was built in 1792 and décor reflects this time. Grounds were beautiful. Staff was great. Enjoyed the restaurant/bar. Wait staff great and food was excellent. I will go back to The New London Inn when I am required to be in New London for work.

Day trips quite doable from here to DownEast coast, White Mountains, antiquing, etc. and still get back in time for dinner. Charming old rooms, porches, dining. Each menu item is properly prepared and served. Staff is personable and competent. Great menu, wine list, complementary breakfast. We have done about four times and will do once a year from here in Pa.
