If you are looking to stay at the Ritz Carlton...well...move on. This is a BUDGET hotel/motel, but with that said the rooms are clean, the hospitality is very welcoming, and the owner goes the extra mile to make it a little more than just any motel. I say this because there are more amenities in the room than you would... More

Supposed to be a camping weekend but due to totally unacceptable conditions at a nearby campground ended up lucking out on the last room available here. Great location for our Sunday hike, we found the Motel very clean and comfortable with very little noise despite the proximity to Rte 25. Some aspects of the bathroom (rust on heater, some trim... Our family of five stopped overnight at this motel. The owner was helpful in pointing out nearby sights. Clean, affordable and quiet. Plenty of outside seating to enjoy the view and mountain air. Check out the nearby Old Country Store. It has everything.

We had 2 nights there, in a 2 queen bed room. The size was very good - about 300 SF. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. People were friendly. It was mostly quiet. The muffins were delicious. There was mild 'fraying around the edges' of the furniture, bathroom, and paint, but overall, it was a good choice.

Friendly, clean and great coffee and cake with fresh fruit in the morning. The location of the rooms are conveniently across from police and Fire houses. The rates are affordable. Mark also has maps and pamphlets for guests that want to see the wonderful sites of New Hampshire. I would definitely return next year.

We needed a place to stay last minute. It was a great value for the price. The motel is antiquated but well maintained. Large room-beds were comfortable- ac and fridge worked great- the home made muffins were excellent and the owner was very personable..

Great place, great price, great dog and Mark the owner! Knows the area and places to visit and eat! Try Buckie's for dinner! Coffee and soda free! Easy to find and in between the lake region! Bath towels were soft and thick!

Mark is great, and his new dog is just so friendly. It isn't often when a motel provides fresh baked blueberry muffins for breakfast, along with really good fresh-brewed coffee. We wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area! This was our 3rd visit!

Accommodations are about like a Red Roof with the following exceptions: A little shabbier. Refrigerator in room was noisy -- I had to unplug it to sleep. Air conditioner was tiny -- barely adequate on a coolish evening (no ventilation possible) and noisy all night. Desk personnel not friendly. Bed OK. Morning coffee OK.

My husband and I stayed at the Berry Pond Motel and were extremely pleased. We started off touring the New England States and were only going to stay in New Hampshire for one night but Mark made us feel so welcome, we extended our stay to three nights. The room was very clean, comfortable and close to all the little... More
