I got married at The Margate in September and I would not have changed a thing!! Bethany was SPECTACULAR! I could not have done it without her! The venue was amazing! The rooms are very reasonable and comfortable! I had a lakeside room that has the most beautiful view!! For a wedding, daytime at the beach bar or just a...

My boyfriend got a room here. He requested a lake view room. We loved being able to see the lake from our window. We enjoyed using the pool and hot tub. Also loved that breakfast was included. The beds were nice. We really enjoyed our stay. Hope to be back again someday in the future.

The location and the view of the lake is terririfc however you can also drive down the road just a little way and get much more for your money. In some cases you can rent a whole condo for a week for less than a weekend at the Margate. Pro's Great Location On site pool Tiki bar Cons Staff Rooms...

This place has potential. A beautiful setting beside the lake but it is tired and worn. Our room overlooked the lake and where it was adequate it could have been so much more welcoming with a brighter decor. We stayed one night from 18th-19th Oct. The dining room and bar were closed up for the season and we had a...

When I checked online this "resort" only offered a room with 2 double beds for around $100 (which is what I wanted to spend) for the stay. Now, I've stayed at this place in the past and had a good experience, so I went ahead and booked the room. We arrived late in the evening, then went out on the...

We are sorry for your bad impressions of our resort. We can tell by you review that you probably stayed on the 2nd floor of our Inn building. We are not sure if you took the time to walk through the 1st floor, but if you had, you may have noticed that last spring we "got off our duff" and...

We stayed at the Margate for two nights, for a wedding in nearby Meredith. It was a decent price for the holiday weekend! Our room was INCREDIBLY SPACIOUS. We stayed in the "Inn" building, which abutted a Shaw's parking lot. There was no front desk staff at that location, which did not bother us. There were some complaints from other...

The location is great! Hotel is on the water with great views. We stayed in the Inn section across the street and it was newly renovated. Very clean and comfortable bedding. Hotel is right on route to many attractions in the area.

Was on a guided coach tour and stayed at Margate Resort Very comfortable and clean and comfy. We had a lakeview room very relaxing. Great indoor pool. Loved being on the lake. Within walking distance of shopping for essentials if needed i.e.; grocery, pharmacy, even Dunkin Donut.

There with a bus trip for fall foliage. Good stuff: lovely location on lake; quiet, no street noise; cheerful staff; really extensive hot breakfast with a great selection of hot and cold foods. Our dinners were catered by an off site caterer as the resort food service must be closed for the season except for breakfast. Good buffet dinners. Not...

My wife and I stayed here two days as a base for NH leaf peeping. We got a room with a lovely view of the lake. It was showing a little wear around the edges, but it was clean. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The breakfast area was more recently remodeled, and was lovely. Continental breakfast featured cereal,...
