We were staying at the inn for two nights during our New England tour and we got to stay in one of the cottages. The Livery was comfortable, warm and spacious and ideal for couples or a small family. The decor is a little dated and would benefit from being refreshed. Beds very comfortable bathrooms small but functional. Parking outside...

First impressions of a place are important. We arrived at the hotel just after lunchtime and were told, rather brusquely, that check-in was not until later. If it had been done with a smile and an offer to look after our luggage until the room was ready, we would have felt welcome. As it was, the greeting rather predisposed us...

The was great. The check in was wonderful. The girl at the front death fantastic. The bartender put a stop on our good time here. He was condescending and and had a screw you with a smile. We checked in and the room was perfect. Had a glass of wine from our room (and a coke) and walked around. Went...

Fairly easy to find and in a beautiful position right on the edge of the forest. We stayed in Barn 1 which was enormous, comfortable but slightly shabby and would have benefitted from a kettle rather than a rather dilapidated coffee maker. We arrived early and were told quite brusquely that we couldn't check in, with no suggestions as to...

We had some lovely stays at the Christmas Farm Inn in the 90's. After moving out of New England we recently came back for a visit and stayed at the inn and we were disappointed. At check in, we reported that we had stayed there many times some years ago and the person checking us in gave us the impression...

It was nice overall. We stayed in Barn studio for one night. Old and rustic space needs little improvement. Great food and friendly staff at dinner, especially thanks to John. But, making reservation for dinner wasn't nice experience when we arrived. One of dining staff said fully booked 6 to 8pm, so we had to choose 5:45. While we had...

This resort is very tired and the accommodation needs a lot of maintenance and updating . However the food in the restaurant was gorgeous and the staff very helpful - especially Joshua ! The carriage house is a newer building and seemed to be in better repair . The indoor pool is small but clean and the gym is very...

We arrived to be told our room was in the salt box on the first floor - no offer of help with suitcases to be carried upstairs! There was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room - we asked if we could have a kettle but the answer was 'no'! Breakfast was good and the room was comfortable.

Accommodation was in seperate houses away from main reception, some blocks were quite a walk up a very steep hill, as indeed was the modern well equiped gym. Our room was in the block adjacent to reception but still involved a trip outside to fetch coffee as no machines in the rooms. We were on the first floor up a...
