As others have said, words can't describe the beauty surrounding RDC. Cabins are rustic but wonderful. What do I remember? The sound of loons at night; hiking up the nearby mountains, swimming in the pristine lake; playing tennis; sailing in a sunfish; kayaking across the lake; talent show on Thursday, square dance on Friday; picnic lunch on Wednesday with balloon...

I have been blessed to have attended RDC 24 out of the past 26 summers. The staff is very good especially at listening to our needs. The location is exquisite, the lake is a treat with little to no large boats or jet skis. We canoe, sail, kayak and swim every day. The food is diverse to cater to many...

I'm 23 years old and I have been visiting RDC for 16 of them. Everything is perfect- from the lakeside cottages, to the food, to cozy evenings around the fire. Everyone in my family looks forward to our week together at RDC which we spend hydrobiking, swimming, playing tennis, taking long walks, and EATING! It is such a joy to...

Rockywold Deephaven Camps seems to have figured out the perfect mixture of activities and amenities to let guests simply revel in the natural beauty of Squam Lake. It seems to appeal to everyone no matter their age or activity level. While you can sit on your cabin's dock all day reading a good book, you can also keep as busy...

RDC is a place for families, a place for the young and the old. It is where you find yourself and your family. It is where you go to discover and yet be quite with yourself. It is sunny and rainy. It can be very warm and very cold (which means fires in your fireplace in the morning). You will...

We started going to these camps on Squam Lake over twenty years ago as the guests of my father and continued on our own after he was no longer able to go. Our children consider it their summer home, even though we can manage to get them and their children all together with us for only a week each summer....

A very special place and experience for the entire family. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, helpful, and the cabin was rustic and spotless. Although it was clear guests come for several years, we did not feel out of place. We will definitely make a tradition of it if we can get the week we want!

This was our first time at RDC (unusual, most families had been coming back for years) and we we're the only Europeans. None of that mattered - we were made to feel very welcome by other guests and staff alike in a beautiful spot on Squam Lake in a cabin in the woods 40 feet from the lake. Every cabin...

Beyond words. From the moment you arrive, you will breath more freely, feel joy and peace. Leave the world behind. Every cabin is unique. The lodges are cozy and intimate. Individual docks and many options for exploring the lake. The loons and eagles. Delicious and healthful meals. Hike to Rattlesnake for breathtaking vistas. Evenings in a rocking chair on the...

This is a place that draws you back year after year. 1) The people are amazing - you get to know the other guests and come back during the same weeks each year, developing really cool friendships. 2) There is no "forced-fun". All activities are optional, which gives children the freedom to go off and participate in things they are...
