Best! AMC's Joe Dodge Lodge is located in the most beautiful spot in the White Mtns. A wonderful place to hike and ski. A bit of a throwback with cozy rooms, shared common rooms and bathroom facilities. A great vibe with young and old people happy to be there. Worst! The Saturday night dinner which was formerly the best of...

I knew when booking it was a lodge with great location for hiking. I also knew I would be sharing a bathroom, no problem, done that before. However, I did not realize there would only be two showers for the whole floor and that a group of young kids would be staying . The room ventilation is horrible, as in...

Stayed here the night before a hike up Mt. Madison. The décor is just what you expect in the mountains, pine, but nice! We had our own room and opted to pay a bit more to have no one else in our room (it accommodated 4 people). There was a communal bathroom/shower, but that was fine. The visitor center was...

Nice lodge located next to the hiking trails in the White Mountains. The rooms are clean and comfortable, although a little bit small. Food is in general good, and the staff is very friendly and always ready to help. In overall, it was a great experience staying in this lodge! A great place to start your hike and rest afterwards. They have a social hour before dinner, too. Dinner is ample and very satisfying, same is true for the breakfast. The rooms are cozy and everything is well done. There is even a comfortable library for quiet teading. Have a glass of wine if you have thought to bring some.

This AMC lodge is superb. The lodge is at the entry point of the most common trail up to Mount Washington. We enjoyed some of the hikes and managed to get an excellent work out. The facilities are very rustic with shared bath etc. but it more than makes up with the warmth of the service and the authentic of...

We spent three nights at Joe Dodge Lodge in June. We completed several hikes in the area and truly enjoyed having our accommodations at the trailhead, having access to first-hand advice on our trail selections at the Visitor Centre next door and being in the company of like-minded people. The Lodge is welcoming and the staff is friendly. Our room...
