I recently spent three days at the Marie Atwood inn while working in the Franklin area. Each afternoon I was welcomed by Sandi and/or Fred along with tail wagging, Moony the dog. Thank you for your warmth, the rich conversations and yes, the wonderful breakfasts. I highly recommend this abode to anyone traveling in the area.

The owners, Sandy and Fred, were very welcoming and immediately made us feel right at home! Every room is very comfortable and well kept. Based on our research, there is no better place to stay in the Franklin area. Sandy and Fred go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Given we were the only guests during our first...

Sandi & I appreciate your kind review. We most enjoy it when we have just a few guests that we can get to know personally - the best part of Innkeeping.

The Inn was warm and inviting with an extremely relaxing atmosphere. And the history of the house was fascinating. The inn keepers (Fred & Sandy) treat guests as if they were inviting them into their home and Sandy makes some of the best scones I've ever had!

Thank you for taking the time to make your kind review. It is nice that guests report they feel like it is a home environment. We work to make it that way but don't always know if we succeed. It is only enjoyable running the Inn when it is comfortable for our guests because that comfortable feeling becomes mutual. Best...

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful B & B. We have never been as catered to or cared about as much as we were here. The fabulous homemade breakfasts, all the little extras, it was as if we were family come home to visit. No question the best one we have stayed in yet. Thank you so much Sandi...

We appreciate your kind review. It was a pleasure hosting part of your visit to the "States". If it felt like family, it well may have been (at least remotely) through some of the old Scottish lineage we seem to share. Thank you. Sandi & Fred

A B&B of brick! This meticulously maintained inn boasts a quiet country setting and rooms decorated with interesting antiques set off not by the usual overdone busy wallpaper/border combo, but a nice cool light suede paint. The spotless baths & cozy living room with large wrought iron accessorized fire place make this an extremely comfortable home base for NH day-tripping....

This is a charming inn, lovingly cared for by its owners. The rooms are all exquisite and truly cared for. Breakfast was a yummy full homemade hot breakfast and shared with the owners! Lively conversation and a splendid way to start our day. I would highly recommend this inn and would stay there again. Very reasonably priced and comfortable, clean,...

Thank you for the nice review. We very much agree with your comments on the conversation. Hopefully the next time our conversation will be about the positive changes we were talking about. Now that you know where in NH to avoid poison ivy, your next visit should be less eventful :) Best regards, Sandi & Fred

My daughter and I spent two nights at this delightful inn. Inn keepers Fred and Sandy have over seventeen years of perfecting their B & B skills. Sandy stayed up to welcome us on a very late arrival. In the morning we were drawn from our comfy beds by the aroma of eggs and sausages and homemade scones. And there...

Fred and Sandy are wonderful hosts. From the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. I have stayed in many B&Bs and this is among the best experiences ever! And the hospitality is equal to none, we wanted for nothing. The full breakfast each morning was large and delicious. Fred served his fruit "special"of the day. Each...

Been B&B-ing for 25 years now --USA, Canada, Scotland, France-- and The Maria Atwood Inn, our last-minute-find as a stop-over returning from Quebec, now becomes a top-of-the-list favorite for us! This house is beautiful! --the attention to architectural detail and authenticity given by the owners is commendable. Choosing a favorite room could be difficult as each has its own appeal;...
