Conveniently located to trails and attractions Quiet in off season. Choice of tent sites good. Level areas without pads. No electricity. Clean bathrooms. Pay showers. Dishwashing sinks provided. Food must be stored in trunk to discourage bears.

We have come here many times over the last 20 years. Great place close to many local attractions. Clean facilities and showers are hot and just $1 for 5 minutes. There is highway noise, however it did not bother us. Camp store is well stocked with a good variety of items. Several great trails for hiking from the campground. The...

What an amazing campground. The installations are really nice, I thought that the spots for the tents were quite large. The bathrooms and showers were really clean. The staff is awesome. We are from Canada, and didn't know we had to bring coins for the showers, and the staff was nice enough to give us some quarters. We were there...

The staff here is great very accommodating, our site was dirty when we showed up so they mapped out a few others we could pick from. Settled in and started a fire. Sites are close to bathrooms and dish wash centers. The road noise is pretty loud but bearable. We had a chipmunk friend at the site who came right...

The other reviews are accurate---you can hear noise from the highway 24/7. Personally, it didn't bother me too much, but for those looking for a nature getaway, this may not be the place. The toilets and showers were very clean and I was able to get warm-ish water when showering. A major thing I noticed was that the campsites vary...

Strongly suggest staying away from this campground. Poorly maintained and extremely small sites. We were literally 15 feet from our neighbors with nothing in between but mud. We actually left early, forfeited our site fees (they will not refund ... you have to MAIL a refund request to the NH Parks Dept), and stayed at a campground outside the Notch...

Average wooded campground with decent facilities, but too close to Route 95. Traffic noise exists 24 hours a day. Not exactly getting in touch with nature. It is however right at a trailhead leading to some excellent hikes across some 4000 footers.

Spent 4 night weekend at Lafayette staying on site 30. Large site, big enough for 3 room tent, chairs around the fire pit, screen house over the picnic table as well as parking for our kayak trailer and truck. Bathroom facilities are clean and modern, with 5 minute showers costing $1.00. They also have a clothes dryer in the bath...

Nice place to stay for a weekend. Never stayed for longer than weekend. There are things to do by NH state parks. Echo lake beach 34c which is very popular. Nice to visit when very hot. Right at base of cannon mountain

The setting is beautiful, hiking is great (from walks along paved paths to up-mountain trails) and the grounds are well kept. But, it is noisy, sounding more like an urban setting. There is plenty of space for young children to play and explore.
