Perhaps rustic, but that's what this part of the country is about. If you love the outdoors there is so much to see/do. You can rent ATVs'/snowmobiles for that added feature, or just bring your own to enjoy the outdoor fun.

Place need updating bad, don't understand the heat working on and off. We thought it was a bad thermostat but after reading on here they could have been turning it off and on. We were trying to keep it at 65 and had a hard time keeping it 60 in the room. New bedding and mattresses are needed. Great potential but need meeting it.

If you ever want a breakfast meal that will fill you and amaze you at the same time, this is the place for you. And it is accessible by ATV and snowmobile during those seasons. We had 1 pancake each because you can't eat more than 1. The pancake is a "cake" in thickness and covers the entire plate. If you can finish this meal, you've had 2 meals. It was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. Bon appetite!

Apparently, the owner walks around the property around 10:00 p.m. and if anyone has a window or door open he decides that no one will have heat for the night. Once a phone call was made to him about not having any heat in the room (there was a frost the other night and was below 58 degrees in the room) he turns the heat on and tells you not to ever return to his establishment. the most unprofessional place we have ever stayed.

Room was adequately clean, although wall to wall carpeting was very outdated. 12 inch tv on wall was very difficult to see from bed across room. It was 45 degrees outside on Friday night and we had NO HEAT. Tried calling the office - no answer or voicemail. The next morning I politely mentioned it to the owner's wife. She assured me she would speak to him and take care of it. Saturday night, still no heat. Called office and spoke with owner. He argued with me about turning the heat on. He finally said, "Fine, I will turn it on, but I suggest you don't come back!" and hung up on me! I have never experienced anyone this rude in all my travels!

My friend and I stayed here the night before going backpacking in Grafton Notch. It was fine for a night's stay. The room was relatively clean - I wouldn't say it was VERY clean, but it was acceptable. The rooms themselves are very basic and very dated - old small TV, wood paneling, old carpet. It was all just very old. My mattress had some sort of vinyl cover on it under the sheets, which was weird and uncomfortable. The motel does have wifi and it was fairly reliable for us. It would drop my phone a couple times, but worked for the most part. I tried video chatting with my wife using it, and that didn't work at all. There's really bad cell phone reception here, so it was good to at least have some sort of connection. The staff we spoke to were all very nice. And it was very convenient to have the store located right out front for snacks, drinks and even breakfast if you want. The price was a little more than other area motels.…

Stayed here a couple times on motorcycle trips and will be stopping again in a month while on our way to Maine from Vermont. Peaceful, quiet, abundant moose in the area, rustic, and great owners. Breakfast at the small store / gas station (only on Saturday's and Sunday's) is fabulous. This is a 'no frills' kind of place but the rooms are comfortable and clean. Prices are reasonable and service is friendly.

Stayed one night here while attending a funeral. This place is a combination motel (12 units with parking right in front of the units), gas station, convenience store, and diner. Upon arrival on a Sunday evening, they were out of gas, but not a problem for us. Their dining room also doesn't open until Memorial weekend. The location is right at access for snowmobile/atv trails, and it appears that the motel focuses on these groups. My room was the only one with a queen bed, all the others have 2 doubles. The carpet was in very rough shape-lots of stains and felt sticky on bare feet, so I made sure to wear shoes/slippers at all times. The décor is serviceable and room was clean. Towels in bathroom were so old that they might have been white once, but no more...still they were clean, as were bed linens. Each room has a mini frig, satellite tv, and are good size. Locals tell me that the rooms are nicer than the Colebrook Country Club just down the road. It's not a Marriott but it doesn't try to be. Friendly folks in the store, very helpful.…

We stayed up at the Diamond Peaks back in July. The motel is in a remote quiet location with clean rooms, rapid service with a smile and an amazing trail access that I am sure is unrivaled. There is an abundance of wildlife, scenic view and a bonfire they seem to do regularly. The number of quads and ATVs trails right behind the motel make it a great location for a trailing getaway. I am sure in the winter its equally awesome or better for snowmobiling. The restaurant and gas station down below is very convenient also. The breakfast is very reasonably priced, well portioned and tasty.
