My husband and I stayed at the Jonathan Beede Bed and Breakfast for 2 nights while in New Hampshire to see our daughter perform at the nearby Barnstormers Theater. We couldn't have been more delighted with our experience. From the moment we arrived we knew this charming house was special but didn't expect it to be the highlight of our...

Susan and John were terrific hosts, very knowledgeable local historians. The house, bedroom and shared bathrooms were very comfy and clean, and the breakfast delicious! Farm fresh eggs and fruit from nearby farms. The history of the house, as a stop on the Underground Railroad, is fascinating.

Susan and John have restored this beautiful home with love and great attention to detail. It is spotless, charming, and sits in a lovely area of New Hampshire. Our rooms were large and beautifully decorated. The bathroom down the hall (which was designated just for us) was spacious, with lots of counter space and every amenity you could desire. Be...

I visited with two friends. We enjoyed the house and breakfasts very much. So much food! Susan and John are wonderful hosts. As an earlier reviewer mentioned, the house is very clean. Floors are squeaky but feel great to bare feet!

Thank you to Susan and John for your warm hospitality! We slept well, ate well, and enjoyed the local history. The location was quiet & close to great hiking. We had just the right amount of conversation versus quiet family time. Our daughter slept well on the extra bed!

Susan and John Davies have been a best-kept secret for people visiting Squam Lake in New Hampshire; I almost hesitate to blow their cover, but want people who appreciate genuine, quiet hospitality, excellent food, and a lovely old New England house to be able to find them. Squam itself is the pristine golden pond that time appears to have forgotten--...

We recently took a trip up north and stayed in Sandwich, NH, a small town north of Squam Lake. We have often visited it in the summer to enjoy the water made famous by "on Golden Pond." This time we thought we would check it out in the winter. It was quiet, and cold, but totally delightful and very restful...

The pictures, while lovely, don't do justice to this beautiful B&B. The B&B is SPOTLESS, beautifully decorated, and the bathrooms are squeaky clean. (This isn't easily done in a home of its age.) We were made to feel at home in the first few seconds of being in the driveway. We had a hectic schedule, and Sue kept track of...

“The two front bedrooms are very large and comfortable. The two rear bedrooms are smaller, one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds. There were no room darkening shades in the room I stayed in, and it didn't matter one bit!”
