Nick and Susan have a perfect balance - welcoming, personable, to be sure you have what you need/want, and then, they let you relax. Mountain Fare is an older inn; only the WiFi gives the date away. It is family - friendly; guests mingle easily in the common areas, swapping ski conditions and local sights. Loved reading by the fire....

A great place to stay--close to many natural attractions as well as commercial venues and restaurants. It's very quiet! Loved that. Wonderfully warm and inviting hosts. Tasty breakfast and very comfortable common areas. If you are into the night sky, these are *dark* skies, so viewing and photography will benefit. We'll be back!

We stayed in a room on the second floor of the main building which was fine but did not have enough light to read by once it was dark. The common room downstairs was more conducive for reading and getting comfortable. The breakfast was incredible, poached eggs, apple waffles, perfectly ripe melon served buffet style.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable; our bathroom was almost the size of a bedroom in some b&b's. The location is perfect if -- like us -- you want to canoe and hike: it's between Squam Lake (so interesting it's easy to get lost) and the White Mountains. Friendly and helpful staff, including Sam the dog, and great breakfasts.

This inn is in a quiet beautiful setting on 6 acres of land. The grounds and gardens were beautiful and I enjoyed walking in them. There's a large front porch and a back deck with seating for guests to enjoy. Our room was the largest we've ever had in a b&b and was very comfortable. The whole house has been...

Our multigenerational 25+ family members gathered for a delightful week. The staff were indeed amazing -- calm, accommodating, friendly. They set a very high standard for other hosts. Highly recommended.

Suzi and her staff are amazing! Our growing extended family took over the Mountain Fare for a reunion after a family wedding. Not only is the place wonderful, but the staff couldn't be more gracious! It's been a great week.

We just returned from a 3-night Thanksgiving weekend visit at the Inn to celebrate my in-law's 50th wedding anniversary. My wife is one of 6 and, with grandchildren, we totaled 31 guests. Given the size of our party, we booked the entire Inn. I cannot say enough about the Inn and the exceptional service provided by Sue and Nick. Highlights...

We stayed at the Mountain Fare Inn at the beginning of October during our honeymoon road trip of New England. Having had a nearby AirBnB reservation declined due to us only wanting a single night's stay, we managed to book a single night at the Mountain Fare at very late notice. Reservation was a little tricky via email but we...
