Very good service, clean and warm welcome. Is near the sea like 5min walking and 10mins from the beach, has a great view from the balcony. Nice location, easy accessible for those who have boats. Close to Skiathos and Evia islands.

Our Group of 11 PAX have chosen DES ROSES hotel for Orthodox Easter time and we was very happy to have the Big holy celebrations in Platanias Pelion village and esp. in the Nikos Dovas Family hotel. The rooms are spacious, the menu in the restaurant was very delicious but the hospitality of the family Dovas is what make our...

We stayed at Des Roses on our first visit to the Pelion last year and had such a lovely time we came back this year. Nikos and his family are wonderful hosts - very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in one of the triple-bedded rooms (a double and single bed) which was huge and spotlessly clean, with a good sized...

We have stayed twice in this charming hotel. The hotel is run by a local family and staying with them is like staying with family. They are warm and hospitable and will do what they can to make your stay memorable. This hotel offers the basics, nothing fancy, but that is just what you need in Platanias. The village is...

We stayed here last year and we liked this hotel and port village so much that we decided to return in 2015. We were once again charmed by the friendly hospitality of the owners. The hotel itself is fairly basic but is not lacking in anything that really matters; rooms were clean and the beds comfortable enough. It is within...

This is a very beautiful hotel, but the resort of Platanias, Pelion feels like as far from the modern world as possible: no gas stations, no ATMs, no possibility to pay by card, no shops except a couple of groceries ! The nearest gas station is in Argalasti, 20Km away. The hotel owners should try to bring to town a...

Dear Las14, Thank you for your feedback about what you like and don’t like in South Pelion and particularly in Plaranias fishing village. As you already noticed, Platanias is still one of the few well-preserved and remote places in South Pelion. Its location is unique, as it combines mountain, forest and sea, but at the same time it is far...

Stayed here for a couple of nights in June this year. Enjoyed terrific hospitality from Nikos, his staff, and family. The room was basic but clean. Had a bit of hot weather so the air conditioner was welcome and worked perfectly while we were there (there were a few mosquitos around, so take or buy insect spray if you go)....
