I paid up for a south tower room, and it was worth it, and the rooms, though on the small side are nice, and comfortable. Check in was a little uneven, I found the diamond check in to be slow, and not very helpful, giving me the keys to a room that was not ready yet. The regular check in was more helpful and got things sorted out for me quickly. Despite having a small non-smoking section, most of the casino is smoking, and it has to be one of the smokiest casinos I've been to in recent times, which is a shame, as it has a variety of table games. People often compare Laughlin to Vegas (poor man's Vegas) but I'd compare it to Ak-Chin in Phoenix, a regional casino with fresh hotel and non-smoking casino, a location I'd favor when in the greater area.
Due to a family emergency, we had to leave quickly and I had forgotten my diamond earrings and pendant! I didn't even realize it until 11:00 p.m. that evening at home. My only recourse at that late hour was to fill out a form online and in the morning I woke up to an email that my jewelry was turned in and awaiting return to me. In these times, it is so refreshing to know there are honest people in the world. Harrah's housekeeping is honest and trustworthy! The hotel was nice, too! It's Laughlin, so everything is more casual. I'll stay here again for sure!
Food and beverage options are very limited during our mid-week stay. VERY expensive meal options in the Ranch steak house (closed 2 of the 4 nights we were there), Fieri's El Burro Mucho Burracho (closed 2 of the 4 nights we were there), Pin Up pizza (closed 4 of 4 nights we were there), and what I consider to be nothing more than cafeteria type food at the Beach cafe (was open 4 of 4), or another Smashburger burgers (was open 4 of 4), .... that's it. Room delivery applies a mandatory 18% gratuity, as well as a delivery charge (but you have the option of tipping even more if you want to.. lol). There might be better food and beverage availability over weekends (?), but really missed the buffet. Staff always courteous and helpful, drinks on casino floor were usually pretty timely. Housekeeping and room were great & meals aside, did enjoy the stay overall.…
I am currently staying in the central tower. I asked for the north tower but was discouraged because the central was "more up to date". This room is awful. The door is jammed shut and you need to force it. The lamp doesn't turn on. The beds are wildly uncomfortable and the room itself is cramped. I would much prefer any other hotel in Laughlin.
We were treated well by most staff, however meal choices are very limited. Two of the resturants were closed 2 of our4 day stay. The Buffet is permanently closed and the pizza place in the food court wasn't open at all during our mid week stay. Be aware when ordering room service - hidden charge of 18% which is automatically added for gratuity as well as additional charge for room service delivery - we thought we had zero'd out the tip and gave the delivery person a tip when in fact what we zero'd was a second gratuity optional gratuity.
It was fun but the real thing I did not like was when they charge $ 4.50 for an 6 ounce pop if you get tired of waiting for a cocktail waitress to wait on you if you go to the bar and ask for something to drink. Of and there sister place Tropicana was the same way. I watched a elderly lady ask for a water to take her pills and the waitress said if you go to the bar you can get one, I could not believe it she had a cane and had a hard time walking so I told her to sit down and went and got one for her. Anyway figured as long as you don’t mind waiting a hour between drinks go have fun.
My 3rd time at this property and frustrated that only 1/2 the elevator run. And can’t understand why I had to smell the same garbage for 3 days when I wait for the elevators on the 7th floor of the south tower. I know Laughlin is t 1st class but come on!!! It is Harrahs, a Ceasars property.
We really enjoyed our stay. Are the rooms outdated and not the cleanest I’ve ever seen? Yes. Good food options, arcade was great for kids and we loved the beach!! Definitely need to do better with fixing broken exterior items and get the pools looking better. The hot tub looked kinda suspicious. Still enjoyed our stay!
They charged me $230 in add-ons after the room was already paid for between resort fees, valet fees, pet fees everything on top of paying for my room was extra. My daughter booked my room for me so I did not realize that she hadn’t included my dog I stood at the front desk for 15 minutes while they checked me in with my dog Went up to my room and within 20 minutes I had a police officer at my door accusing me of sneaking my dog in and they escorted me down to the front desk. it was so embarrassing than the room they gave me that was pet friendly was so horrible not even what I paid for and charged 85$ a night pet fee. They charge five dollars a night if you want a coffee pot $10 a night if you want a refrigerator every little thing as extra they gouge the heck out of you I will never stay in this hotel again. Not to mention it took 45 minutes to get our car out of Valet at 5:30 in the morning because their valet guy did not show up for work and nobody knew how to get the keys. we missed our flight in Las Vegas because of this the front desk staff was incredibly rude and patronizing to say the least I was not impressed with this hotel…
This is my first time at this casino. Love everything in this hotel. Service is the best. Everyone working there are awesome. From the front desk to room service. Very best to everyone who works on the floor. Love it. Absolutely will come back.
