I can't say anything about what this hotel looks like because I didn't get there. My husband and I were looking forward to a much-deserved 6 night vacation at Treasure Island in Las Vegas. Being first-timers to Vegas, we were very excited but were actually...More
Check-in was a breeze, less than 10 minutes.
Room was nice but couldn't get an upgrade even though we were getting married in the TI Chapel.

Great location near the Fashion Show Mall, Wynn, Encore and Venetian hotels. Crowded small-ish pool with not a lot of shade unless you want to pay. Casino seemed old with low ceilings. Room was nice but could do with a refresh. Corner end of hall...More

I actually know the answer to this question and I have first hand experience at Treasure Island. If you are a member of the Player's Clubs and as a result the casino's are able to track the dollars that you are spending or risking, many times they will offer you comps, or discounts. I know for a fact that comped hotel guests will have an option to waive the resort fees (typically a $20 to $40/night fee charged to guests for services such as fitness room access & wifi). In Vegas you should always join player's clubs at any casino in which you gamble, eat or spend any money. If you present your card every time you spend money on anything, they will offer you nice discounts or freebies on shows, rooms, activites, gambling, etc. Maybe even free rooms with optional resort fees?!
The pool is located on the south side of TI and The Mirage is quite a distance away so you get lots of sun by the pool. Of course there are palm trees around the pool area to help block the intense sun....
