The Orleans Hotel & Casino is often praised for its welcoming atmosphere, featuring enjoyable amenities such as a movie theatre and bowling alley, despite some remarks about its outdated decor. While the rooms are generally found to be clean and spacious, guests frequently note the need for modern updates and better lighting. Opinions on the hotel's value and amenities are mixed, with criticism focusing on high resort fees and a lack of in-room conveniences such as fridges and coffee makers. Service quality appears to vary significantly, with experiences ranging from very attentive to disappointingly indifferent.

The Strip is where the action is, of course, but there are reasons to recommend this off-Strip property as it's much quieter, tranquil, safe, and has nearly unlimited covered free parking. There are ample dining choices, the casino is well staffed and ample enough for any gambler, the personnel are very friendly, flexible, amenable, and cooperative, and as a mid-range place it certainly fits the bill to a T.

No it's not in the league of the Wynn or Caesars and it doesn't pretend to be. The enormous advantage of The Orleans is the price of the rooms as compared to the condition, comfort, and spaciousness. The rooms are much larger than you would expect for the money, and they are supremely clean, in great shape, whisper quiet, have free Wifi with significant bandwidth, and feature wonderful distance views. Featuring a huge arena, a bowling alley and a cinema all in the same complex allows you to have a very low priced vacation where you don't really have to leave the hotel at all!

I did my yearly solo trip to Las Vegas for Super Bowl weekend. I always stay at the Orleans. Checked in Sunday at 3pm, just before the start of the game and there was no line to check in. I was able to get to my room, drop my luggage off and get to the free Super Bowl party before the game started.
The Super Bowl parties are great fun. Because there are hundreds of options to bet, someone is eaither cheering or cursing every few minutes over the fate of their tickets.
My room was on the 11th floor and I had a view of the pool area. The rooms are larger than most hotels and have a large bathroom with a tub/shower, a large counter, hangers for clothes and shelves to store items.
There is a sitting area next to the bed with a coach and table and the bedding is very comfortable.
The buffet is greatly improved since they remodeled it. For a $20 dinner it is well worth it. I also ate at Big Al’s oyster bar. The jambalaya pasta was enough for 2 meals and had plenty of shrimp, chicken and sausage with just enough spice without over-doing it.
I did well in the casino and the cocktail service is better than any strip resort casino. Never had to wait for service and the waitresses were very friendly and willing to chat if they had time.
Since it was cool outside, I also took in a movie that is on premises and also bowled a few games to kill some time.
The Orleans is not Bellagio or Wynn but it is a clean, safe and comfortable place to stay with much better casino odds and you can get free rooms for far less play. I can’t wait for my next visit.

I have been staying at The Orleans for 17 years and have seen a changing hotel/casino. The changes and improvements extend throughout the resort. A complete renovation of all the guest rooms, all new restaurants including a completely new buffet, a new movie complex and renovated bowling alley. The renovations all included a completely new pool area and a new spa.
On the casino floor there is an expanded non smoking area, new carpeting throughout and always adding the newest slot machines. There is always new promotions being offered for the guests making it an exciting casino to visit and play. Along with the promotions there is a new B Connected player reward making it easier to earn tier points.
With all the ever changes made over a period of time the guests will find the staff the same friendly and courteous personnel in every department.
I brought family in October and they were impressed with The Orleans and found a lot of the changes I mentioned that they wanted to return in Dec. I brought them back and they enjoyed The Orleans even more with holiday festivities.
The Orleans has always been a top destination for my family. Now it is a destination for more family and friends and should be a destination for Las Vegas visitors.

My husband & I went to Las Vegas to the CES convention and all of the hotels on the strip were astronomically expensive. Did some research and found The Orleans. The reviews were great, but still had some reservations simply because it was a little out of town. This place was amazing! In every respect. The rooms were plenty big and clean and comfortable. A small thing, but important - water pressure was nice and strong in the shower and very soft. I've been to hotels where the water practically trickles. Although not a gambler, the casino was nicely laid out and the atmosphere was inviting. Seven restaurants - we ate at the Medley Buffet, Big Al's Oyster Bar & Grill, Copper Whisk and had drinks at the Baliwick. Food was excellent and plentiful. The entire staff that we encountered, from wait staff to housekeeping, reception - all were friendly, and happy to help in any way. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone. A shuttle or Uber and within 10 minutes you were on "the strip"!

This is not my favorite off Strip place but it has its plusses. I'd rather stay at a motel where you don't have to haul half a mile to get to your car and be subject to those dishonest resort fees. This trip however we got a good rate and I've stayed here before.

Anyway, they have a bowling and movie theater on site. Which is great if you are a compulsive gambler with tweens. Those with small children might want to avoid as there are scary clowns and alligators in the casino. Also, a sizable performance space; if you want to see your favorite faded acts of the past, no need to stay elsewhere.

Rooms were recently refurbished, but still had old electrical fixtures so plugs were falling out all over the place. Our bathroom, which was fine otherwise, had a leaky window. Linens weren't perfect, but the I liked the mattresses.

The front desk was nice and you can get a $10 food credit if you wave maid service. (I was a bit shocked by some of the prices at the cafe, so yeah. The food court by contrast was cheap.)

Boyd has nixed the bugle playing alligator, but if you look carefully and you might see some ghost ones around.

After a two year absent from this hotel, we stayed there and found our stay very disappointing. First the room had a wet rug, the room smelled like a sewer, the water would not drain properly down the tub. The room has a safe, bathtub/shower combo, limited channels on the t.v. No refrig unless you purchase it. The room is spacious with a couch and coffee maker, no maid service. They have multiple restaurants, bowling alley, movie theater, pool ,jacuzzi. Off the strip, shuttle to the strips. Highs casino with everything you want. The gambling slot card has very poor benefits. Buffet is not open. Covered garage with free parking. Resort.fee includes wifi.

I've stayed here occasionally for over 10 years. I.am an OTR Trucker.
There is ample free Truck parking for guests with security on site! Room rates are more affordable than idleing and hangin out at any of the local truck stops!
And the accommodations are 100% BETTER! 15 South X Tropicana west to Arville R past the front of the hotel-
Follow signs to truck parking!

Reserved a premium King non-smoking room but at check-in was informed that the only room available was smaller with 2 queen-sized beds. Desk clerk wasn't interested in helping and basically informed me that was the only option. Exhausted after a long drive so just took the room. The hotel was loud and all night heard heavy doors slamming and people in hallways talking. Smell of cigarette smoke was everywhere. The resort fee was higher than the actual room mate which is a scam. Sent an email to the resort but never heard from a representative. Overall very poor experience.

Needed to try Vegas again. Rented a car and drove in so that we could get away and enjoy nature as a couple and be safe along the way. It was beautiful trip that was a great idea. As we approached the city and it was getting dark, we could see all the lights on the Casinos again! Just like in a movie. So excited to see life in Vegas. Drove to Tropicana and then on to the Orleans. Check in was quick and easy. Fully social distanced line at registration. We were able to get close self parking. Usually I like the shade, but these days I don't mind my interior of the car hitting 150* or hotter to kill any critters that may have hitchhiked on our clothing. Security is everywhere. It is nice to see them interact with customers about face coverings and hand washing. At the elevator they control how many people go on an elevator. I took a lower floor room just so we could use the stairs if needed. Never needed to with the Elevator controls.
The Casino floor was busy but not over crowded. Plenty of games to play and spaces to roam. Lots of Plexiglass screens, at the Be Connected Clun desk, the bar areas and near games. It was nice to see. Wipes and gel everywhere. I did miss the live music they have had in the past but overall it was a great place. Food was available which was nice. We will be back in August! Thank you for opening and being safe. Also, thank you for the $1680 jackpot on Video Keno!!!

Our trip started with a very late check-in around 11:45pm and resulted in not getting the room type I booked and pre-paid for. I requested a king and got two queens.
There is a window in the bathroom that allows light into the room so plan to close the bathroom door if you like it dark.
I read reviews about the beds being comfortable, but they were average at best and the sheets are like paper so very time you move it makes lots of noises.
Lastly the AC unit in the room is so loud. It kept us up all night when it would turn on and off.
Hoping things get better when we hit the casino floor.
