We stayed here for 4 nights. The rooms are big and clean. We had a great room overlooking the strip. Great location with the monorail station there. Check in and out was so easy. Great price and value during our stay. Will definitely be back
First of all and this goes for all of the hotels, even though you get a “complementary”room they still ding you for $40-$50 or more resort fee. Not so complementary is it. Next, can they not afford to give you a couple extra pillows instead of only two that are too small for the bed? Now the bathroom, instead of having the individual containers of shampoo, conditioner, soap bars they have taken it upon themselves to put these stupid useless pump dispensers on the wall in the shower and by the sink. These are probably fine if the staff to check and fill them. The day I arrived I found the soap dispenser was empty I had to call them. After one shower , that was the end of the shampoo. I asked the cleaning staff about it and they said they had to talk to their supervisor before they could fill them up… It never did get filled during my five day stay no matter how many times I asked. Even though I believe the soap and shampoo is the same thing in both dispensers only one was filled during my stay. Next of all on my arrival day I found the safe did not work so I called and waited and waited. People do not go to Las Vegas to sit and wait in the room to have maintenance done on the day they arrive or during their stay. Yes I understand they cannot do anything with the safe because they are not responsible for anything in it. But when you call and they say somebody will be up shortly and you wait for a couple hours. Finally after another call a couple days later they did come and reset the safe. So even though Flamingo has a great location on the strip be prepared for some not so great service when you call. The bed is comfortable and the room was clean and those are the two main things. But it would be nice if they are going to have the stupid useless dispensers for soap and shampoo to make sure they are filled on the daily basis.…
The property does not seem to be maintained as well as it should. Several areas look run down. Carpet in the hall was pulling up, wrinkled, and dirty. Ice machine on our floor was not working and a maintenance man told me that a repair ticket was put in weeks ago and no one has looked at it yet. I would expect more from a nice hotel/casino on the Las Vegas strip. Our room was very nice and very large. Have stayed here many times but considering moving to new location on our next trip. Love the location.
Great location with lots to do at your fingertips. Check in/out lines are very long, more staff would help this. Rooms are great but require new paint and new chairs. Would stay again and recommend. Overall great stay.......
I love the history of the Flamingo and the location. However. Check-in was quite a circus, the kiosks don't work well and there were only three actual clerks. So it took forever. The rooms are actually very nice but have no microwave or coffee pot, and the shower didn't function properly. The wifi is the worst I've ever had in a hotel, almost zero data throughput and constantly dropping out...this was a serious pain in the a$$ by the time I checked out. Thank goodness I didn't have to do any online work while I was there. Little things add up and the Flamingo staff doesn't pay attention to them. There are many better hotel/casinos available at the same price.
I'm sitting in the casino right now. Wife is playing video Keno. Its Saturday at 9am. We were just accosted by a street person begging for money for the 2nd time in the 12 hours we've been here. IN THE EFFING CASINO! We picked Flamingo bc they have smoking rooms. Yes, we're those evil cigarette smokers. We booked the room about 4 months ago. Well guess what.... all rooms are non-smoking as of January 22. No notice or warning was given. Thanks for that Flamingo. Everything has been taken away. Shower curtains, coffee makers and only 2 pillows. We got more pillows, but no coffee? WTF? Casino is standard high priced strip crap. Baccarat is $25min all day, all other tables are $15-$25 min all day. 2 years ago most tables were $5-$10, maybe $15 on weekends. I would accept the higher minimum if this was a more upscale place. But it's not. No better than discount casinos off strip. Vegas in general has gone down the crapper. This will be our last trip here forever.…
Check-In was horrible. We were told that are rooms weren’t ready unless we wanted to upgrade AND pay $40 per room for early check in. It was understandable because it was hours before actual check in time of 4pm. We left and came back at 3:30 and they told us the same story but also told us that our rooms probably won’t be ready at 4 unless we upgraded. After talking to multiple employees we got someone who was actually helpful and hinted that they are told to say those things to get more people to upgrade. We didn’t upgrade but had to be polite and persistent to get what I booked and payed for. Once we finally got to our rooms they were decent but slightly dated and didn’t have a refrigerator or coffeemaker. The beds were comfortable. The shower had very little water pressure and the water temperature fluctuated horribly from scalding to ice cold without changing it. The location of the hotel is the only reason we stay there but after this last stay it is our last. …
Automated check in put us several floors and hundreds of feet apart from a single booking. This was corrected manually..... with some reluctance. On floor vending either did not work at all, or worked only to charge but not dispense what was paid for. A call to maintenance got me told to walk all the way back to the machine and call the number on it at my own expense. I declined! The £40 resort fee has been charged not in dollars, but at some arbitrary exchange rate chosen by the hotel. £146 for 4 nights, which my credit card company would have charged £129 for......so more chiselling. I also made the mistake of taking out cash at the Flamingo ATM....... DON'T!!!!!!! $500 + $6.66 fee --- £449 Walk to Cromwells, or frankly ANYWHERE ELSE $500 + $9.99 fee --- £415 If you have to stay here, do all your gambling and spending somewhere that appreciates you. (also my shower took minimum 4 minutes to warm up) Also my shower …
We love the Flamingo! My husband and I have been staying in this hotel for over 10 years. The rooms are great, beds and pillows so comfortable. The staff is amazing. We love how accomdating everyone is. The bartenders are second to none, friendly, fun. Looking forward to our stay next week. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Not an ideal hotel to stay the night. Check-in is now automated, very glitchy and not very accurate touch screen. Our room was ok. Lamps attached to the wall did not work. Wi-Fi was spotty at best, very slow. Hotel location is located close to a lot of sights. Beware, shuttle to the airport is $15 PER person. Better off paying for a taxi in a large group. Early check in is $60! The reason this hotel gets one star, I would rate lower if I could, someone from the cleaning staff used our toilet and didn't clean it afterward. The reason I know this is, because it was clean before we left for the day. When we returned, the handle was backward and the bowl was FILTHY. Someone must have used it, broken the handle, and left it. Guest services was more concerned with US knowing who used the toilet than getting someone to come clean it. We weren't in the room, there is NO WAY OF KNOWING who used the toilet on your cleaning staff. F for customer service. Would not recommend.…
