Well rooms fairly small ,but the hotel staff are all offering sex for money!!That was little weird. Not sure if working at small hotel front desk makes these ladies low on money.. I’m married man I don’t need some young girl to proposition me.
This place is a joke! The room looks like it is still in 1908. The bathroom is tiny. The bathroom has a 6 inch step up into it. I tripped at night going into it. The shower was like 2 foot by 2 foot wide. There is no AC. Keep the fan off because it only circulates hot air for winter. Good thing this was a comp room because there is no way I would ever pay to stay here.
I stayed at the Golden gate and it was amazing! Great help at the desk very nice and clean rooms and the price was right. I will stay again!!! It's was close to Freemont st. Everything was in walking distance on the strip on Freemont Street and it made it very convenient for everyone .
i walked in with my baby to use the toilet and i was literally chased out by your security guard shouting “i’m gonna call CPS on your child abusing a55!” and “who brings a child into a casino?” screaming at me throughout my exit- scaring my child. who brings a baby inside a casino- i brought a baby inside a Casino HOTEL to use the toilet. I called the front desk and the person there told me to write an email coz it was a casino issue “not really my problem.” Avoid this family unfriendly, abusive hole of a hotel.
Stayed at this hotel on a Saturday night. Window faces right onto Fremont street and we could get no sleep. Reception staff were extremely unhelpful and their only solution was headphones. If you want to get any sleep in Vegas avoid this place.
The table games were great, especially ultimate Texas hold’em . I gambled in the mornings mostly, because the table was open and only several, people. The minimum bet was $5. It was great, but during the week they raised the minimum bet to $10 at 4PM. The only thing I did not like was the blackjack tables. They only paid 6 to 5 odds for blackjack. The only table that paid 3 to 2 odds was a $25 minimum table. The staff was very friendly and professional. No complaints in that area. Unfortunately obnoxious and drunk gamblers persist layperson in the day, so I just gambled early in the day to offset that problem.
We were only in Vegas for 1 day after traveling to Sedona. Only upside Was nice having the perk of free entrance to go check out the new Circa stadium swim. The location is nice on Fremont. I understand we are in Vegas and we have been here over 10 times but getting some sleep is necessary. Unfortunately with the music playing till 3am on a Saturday night this made it impossible to get ANY sleep at all. It was coming through the windows as if we were still out on Fremont. Room was clean and basic. Would not recommend unless you sleep during the day.
Stayed at the Golden Gate Hotel 22-3-2022 - 29-3-2022 yes 7 days 1 week. On arrival at the hotel, check-in confirmed my booking & before the room was allocated they wanted $205 for taxes & room damage!! At the end of your stay your card would be refunded $100 if there was no damages to the room, which I didn't mind paying. I was allocated room 334 which was pretty basic & no view whatsoever, music didn't stop until 3am & house keeping knocking the door 6.15am I didn't come to Vegas to sleep, but this was impossible to achieve. Never had the bed sheets changed the whole stay & had to ask a lady in the hallway for clean towels and toilet roll, as I stated no house keeping the full duration & believe you me, I ain't the type to complain. I've been to Vegas a few times!! Stayed at the Luxor, Ceasers Palace & the Vadra with no issues at all. When it came to checking out, I asked about the money to be credited back to my card & the man at the desk said if there is no damage to the room it will be on the card in a day or so!! Not happy to say the least but nothing credited back & the money $205 had gone up to $241 without me knowing & I guarantee you there was no damage to the room. I feel like I've been lied to & been ripped off in regards to they're policy. I would find it really hard to recommend this hotel as we all work hard for the money we get & would hate anybody else being taken for granted.…
The hotel is one of the oldest hotel's in Las Vegas located on Fremont St across from sister property Circa Hotel and Casino. The rooms are offered at value prices to enjoy a weekend in Downtown. The staff is friendly and do everything to make the guest feel comfortable. If you are looking for a value trip, consider this hotel for your stay in Las Vegas and in Downtown.
I only leave reviews if something is really good, or really bad. My girlfriend and I just made a 2 week tour of SoCal and Vegas. I lived in SoCal for 5 years or so in the Marines, spent a lot of time in Vegas, but never stayed here before. I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else now. Things I love about this hotel: - History: I think it's the oldest continuously operating hotel/casino in Vegas, and it has really cool historical artifacts throughout. - Location: Awesome spot on Freemont Street. Walk directly out of the hotel casino onto the best part of the light show experience and a live band at night. Awesome. Also, as a long time Vegas visitor, I think Freemont is cooler than the Strip and I'm not sure I'll ever go to the Strip again. - Amenities: Doesn't have much amenities, actually, but is related to the Circa and D hotel and has access to a gym of sorts. We missed the gym and the free welcome champagne at Circa's rooftop lounge, but i bet it was awesome. Circa was the best hotel casino we went in on our trip, and we also walked up and down every single casino (minus a few like Circus Circus) on the strip. - Value: Ridiculous value for money versus any other Vegas hotel. - Rooms: Best rooms we stayed in on our two week trip. We paid the minimal upgrade fee for the suite, and it was 100% worth it. Really great. - Parking: Free parking directly across the street from hotel. Very convenient. - Staff: Extremely cool, chill, and competent, unlike the strip hotels we stayed at that were clearly overwhelmed. Nothing I didn't like. Awesome stay.…
