Fontainebleau Las Vegas garners high praise for its cleanliness and luxurious, spacious rooms boasting impressive views, as noted by many guests. While the hotel's elegant atmosphere and diverse dining options are celebrated, some visitors feel the amenities don't justify the higher price point, mentioning overpriced services. The staff's friendliness and professionalism are acknowledged, although slow service has been flagged by some. Opinions on location are split, with the quiet setting appealing to many, but others desiring closer proximity to the Strip's heart. Additionally, noise levels can be a concern for some guests.

I had booked a paid for an early check in and had an email letting me know this was going to be honoured, and when I arrived at 11 I was told there was a room ready on floor 36. I had booked a Bleau room because the website said they all had soaking tubs and the Gold rooms did not. I asked for a room where I could see the Sphere and the receptionist (Kayleigh, who was lovely) said the Bleau room that was ready did not have a tub. So she changed me to a room on a slightly lower floor (24) with an excellent view of the Sphere.

My room was the basic Bleau room and it was lovely, a large double wardrobe, chiller draw to store my own stuff as well as the usual mini bar. There was plenty of draws and hanging space as well as two hooks by the large mirror in the hall for coats. Like most of the Vegas hotels I have stayed in there was no kettle or coffee maker but I was expecting this and had my own travel kettle and tea. The room was beautifully furnished, curtains and sheers controlled from a small panel by the bed and another by the door, all the room lighting was also controlled in this way. However there was a glitch as the lights came on on their own two nights in a row, waking me up, and I was sleeping far away enough from the panel to know that I did not accidentally turn them on in my sleep!

The bathroom had a large soaking tub, shower, double sink and WC. There was an opaque glass door between the WC and the rest of the bathroom. The shampoo, soap etc was provided in small bottles and smelt lovely too. And unlike the Bellagio where I had been staying prior to this, the Fontainebleau provide cotton wool, cotton tips and a shower cap, all useful! Their robes are also a lot nicer than the standard Bellagio robes - towelling on the inside and cotton on the outside, very comfortable for the times I was just chilling in my room. The shower was very strong and hot, and the towels and bed linen were high quality. I had a table with two chairs for in room dining as well as a sofa to chill out on.

I spent the rest of the day exploring the Fontainebleau - there was one small pool open which was very warm, next to the ice rink. They were showing Christmas movies up there during my stay and I saw Home Alone. I could see at least two more pools and guess there was one under the ice rink too. The hotel is lovely, with a great ambience. I had dim sum for lunch at Washing Potato and dinner at Mama Wolf. There is a food court there too so plenty of choice for food - I collected pastries from the cafe for breakfast each morning. Some of the bars and restaurants were closed and due to reopen on Christmas Day but the bars I went in were quiet.

Having stayed at the Wynn Tower, NoMad and Bellagio, all high end hotels, I think that the Fontainebleau is better than all of these and will be my new favourite hotel. It might be north of the Strip but I didn’t feel the need to walk elsewhere as there are handy bus stops close by and plenty of taxis.

Book your stay at the Fontainebleau without hesitation! I spent way too much time researching whether or not to stay here - only to decide to give it a try… and we LOVED it. In the past we’ve stayed at Mandalay Bay, Aria, Venetian, Cosmopolitan, Encore, and Wynn. Fountainbleau is our new favorite. For this trip, we spent 1 night at the Wynn before switching to the Fontainebleau for 3 nights.
I have a separate review of our stay at Wynn, but suffice it to say it felt outdated and ‘tired’ compared to the Fontainebleau. We arrived at the Fontainebleau at 11:50am on a Wednesday. Were greeted by smiling valets who opened the doors for us. Seems like a small gesture, but great service gives the right vibe to start your stay (Wynn valets were chit chatting instead of opening doors for guests). The lobby is breathtaking. The smell of fresh flowers is a nice welcome. It looked like there was a small line about to form but Oscar directed the two families in front of us to different agents, then told us to follow him and checked us in himself. He was friendly and helpful. Room was ready, no wait. Oscar gave us a room of the 65th floor, with a great view of the Sphere. The friendliness of the staff at the Fountainebleau was significantly superior to the Wynn. The room is awesome. Clean. Beautiful. They did an incredible job with the design and branding. Bow ties everywhere. Clean white and blue design makes you think it’s a Vegas casino meet Santorini. High ceilings. Luxe atmosphere. Plenty of tables and slots. The casino is not crowded but not dead either, it strikes the right balance of enough people that it’s a buzz, but without the crowds. It’s perfect. A lot more people at night - still the right balance. The promenade is great, and the food options are excellent. We ate here several times throughout our stay. The Salmon bowl at Bar Ito is excellent. The Black Jack burger at Capons incredible. The Bird (Turkey, avocado, bacon, Brie) sandwich at Nona is the best Turkey sandwich we’ve ever had. Lots of options for coffee, like ‘Break’ at the food court, Chez Bon Bon, or Cafe Cuto (very close to guest elevators, 2nd floor). The gym is superb! Large, spacious, lots of machines. Modern. Feels like going to a real upscale gym. I recognized Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin from Stranger Things) working out in the gym, but he had his headphones in so everyone left him alone. Turned out he was presenting one of the awards at the NHL Awards later that afternoon. Pool area is awesome. Lots of pool options and great service. The servers were on point and attentive. Limited menu selection to your chairs, but full menu if you want to go to La Cote for lunch. Food was delicious and service was great (believe our server was Nashawn. Super friendly). We also had dinner one night at the Washing Potato (upscale Chinese. Great food. Great vibe. Showed up at 9pm with no reservation and were seated promptly). Hotel checkout time is 11am but they extended us to noon without a fuss. If you’re doing Uber, there are 2 rideshare locations for pick up. Just stick with the North rideshare. It’s easier. The south rideshare is downstairs and every Uber driver seems to get confused (they circle around the Taxi area upstairs and don’t realize they need to go down the ramp). North rideshare is easier. Also, bring your own water bottle as the hotel has those airport water bottle stations throughout the casino, where you can refill your own water. The room also has a small cooling drawer besides the mini bar, which is great to chill BYO drinks or late night snacks. Everything about this hotel just put all the other hotels on the strip to shame. And btw - the water pressure! Excellent. I’m buying the same shower head. Sportsbook is one of the better ones around too. I’m pretty set of sticking with Fountainebleau for my upcoming visits. Nothing else on the strip compares. If you don’t mind taking an Uber to/from shows or clubs - book this hotel without hesitation and have a blast!

I absolutely love this hotel. It's a lot more quiet location than the other end of the strip, and the hotel is not nearly as crowded. The sheets and bedding are very new, and the cleaning crew does a top notch job. The bleau rooms have a tub and a small shower, while the gold rooms have a very nice large walk-in shower (one of the nicest I've ever been in). Rooms are large for Las Vegas.

The restaurants are pricey, but the food is some of the best I've ever had. Don's Prime runs about $200/person, but at the same time it was an absolutely excellent wagyu and souffle. The oatmeal at La Fontaine is the best I've ever had - it had a sweet potato puree on the side, and it was clear it was 1) made to order and 2) made by a chef who really knew what they were doing.

The high limit room is beautiful. Probably the nicest I've been in, but often the blackjack tables start at $200 or $300. The managers there are really friendly. (Jordan was great and manages weekdays)

Comps have been way better than other hotels - it does help to offset the high price of this location. Marina, in particular, has been an excellent host. She's gone to bat a number of times on hard to get comps. I moved all my play here from Caesars. Caesars comps have gone down significantly while the FB has really stepped it up.

This is a hotel where everyone is putting their best foot forward. I can really tell, and this is my new home away from home. Great work fontainebleau!! 10/10!!!

Recently visited Fontainebleau: 2nd time
-Parking is now better with the signage, though the exits signs should be lit up as with the entry to the individual aisles; it is nice that the first 3 hours are free for guests; had to go in and out twice;
- Check in was quick was given a top floor room; unfortunately it was not cleaned at all(residue on the washroom sink of something; cookie crumbs on the table; there was no shampoo, hand soap, hand lotion, shaving cream, shaver( maybe they gave this room to somebody before us and asked for a room change} which was quite shocking for a new hotel of this stature; called and was brought toiletries, and asked for a disinfected room cleaning;
-sink was beautiful and room was well appointed, as with the doorbell; coat hook on mirror entry, like Wynn; controls easily managed;
- The RTP on the regular slots and the high limit slots are quite poor, as with the refreshments on the high limit slots; server was only interested in catering to male customers; even asked the 2 floor walkers who did nothing; at Wynn high limit room the staff themselves get you the water, juice inside, so you don't have to wait for server; card tables where were also quite poor;
- on the 2nd floor there is the Cafe Cuto' where guests can get a coffee, pastry , sit down or conveniently go back to your room; this was great and only catered to hotel guests; nicely set up;
- lots of store spaces still empty; food court enjoyed the Miami slice, truffle pizza a real winner;
- main lobby of hotel is beautiful with the fresh floral arrangements/Christmas decor; and very useful staff;
- the caffe across La Fontaine contained the best fruit tart, the crust was soft, custard not overly sweet and they used the fructose instead of adding sugar, a real winner, but always sold out;
- loved La Fontaine, will write a review, happy to see Chef Rouabah !!!
- hotel is located at the end, so there limited things to do or walk to; Resorts World is about 10 minutes; Wynn twenty, Circus, across; may not be safe a t night to walk??
- we travel to Vegas 3-4 times for the food; casino and shopping, I might have to rethink this one, even though we were comped; all other hotels also comp and upgrade us, we are all players....

Spent two separate 3 night stays at the Fontainbleau in Las Vegas, one in July and the other over Thanksgiving weekend.

I really wanted to love this hotel and instead I walked away thinking I liked it but there's still a few hiccups along the way.

I would not honestly characterize this hotel as a 5-star property. 4.5 stars would be more appropriate.

Firstly, in the Summer, there are no cushions on the chaises and no one helps you to set up your chair with towels and coverings. Instead, you come out to the pool, get your towel and you're on your own. Providing service at the pool should be a total given, especially in a property that believes they are 5-stars.

Second, the gym, while amazing, closes at 7pm daily. That one is a big-time head-scratcher. You have to sign in to access the gym at the spa, but to not provide 24 hour access to the gym, (especially in Las Vegas) is inexcusable.

Turn-down service was spotty. Offered one day but not another.

No coffee maker in the room, which is odd.

Although I asked prior to arriving in July for my son's room to be in the immediate vicinity and was told it was given at check-in, he was actually placed way over on the other side of the floor.

While this is minor, it was mentioned in other reviews. The shampoo/conditioner/lotion are all in hard plastic bottles. It is sometimes very difficult to get the product to come out. The bottle cannot be squeezed so you have to furiously shake it. This is probably something that should have been rectified a year ago with the packaging.

The food at Vida for breakfast is excellent. The hotel allocated only the bare minimum of $60 per couple when you book thru AMEX FHR. The breakfast menu was replaced by a brunch menu so there is really only 1 item on the menu offered daily that covers that $60. Hotel sets the dollar amount too small.

Service in Vida was mostly excellent but on the last day it was a disaster and the server vanished, then blamed the kitchen for the delay.

All in all, I would return to the hotel but with lower expectations.

The rooms are clean & luxurious. The views are amazing and the beds are very comfy. You are north of the main part of the Strip but I know that going on and was fine with it. Also be mindful that the resort fee includes things that you aren't necessarily using, especially in Winter, such as the pools or self-parking (if you come without a car.)

Fountainbleau is the place to stay in Las Vegas for couples seeking a true luxury suite experience without an insane price tag. Their Noble and Royal suites are outstanding spaces that include two luxury full baths-- such a rare offering! Don Prime steakhouse is perhaps our new Las Vegas favorite. The food was beyond delicious and the atmosphere is Palm Springs circa 1969 with all the luxe but nothing pretentious. The ceilings in the casino are so high you can't be bothered by any smoke or smells within. It is also quite light/cheerful which makes losing feel less dark. The only thing is that they could use more video poker machines that are set around actual bars. They are quite limited on these games in general and none outside of those in the sports book restaurant offer bar seating.

This is a bad hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and couldn’t leave soon enough. Every experience we had with the hotel was disappointing or completely frustrating. The staff appear to be trying, and seem interested in providing service, but they’re thwarted at every turn by bad process and insufficient training.

Since it appears this place is being run by people who have no experience in the hospitality industry, I’ll share some tips for any managers reading this on how to meet the expectations of guests paying the exorbitant fees charged here.

First, don’t put guests into accessible rooms if they don’t ask for them. Those rooms are great for people who need them, but miserable for everyone else. If you must put a guest into an accessible room, tell them so they can request a change. Don’t let them discover this on their own. When guests request a room change, don’t pretend you’re full and can’t accommodate when you have space available, and certainly don’t blame the guest. Just apologize and move them.

In general, stop trying to pretend you’re packed full when you’re not. You’re not fooling anyone, just irritating your guests. When the piano bar is half empty, don’t claim it’s going to be 15 minutes to seat people and put the velvet rope across the entry. Don’t make your baristas serve people so slowly that a line forms in an otherwise empty café. Don’t pack guests tightly together in a restaurant when there are tons of empty tables.

Next, figure out how to get orders right. Whether it’s room service or one of the many restaurants on site, the orders should come out correctly, and at the appropriate temperature. When guests come to a restaurant for breakfast, they probably want coffee so don’t make them wait 5 minutes for a server who seems surprised when coffee is requested. And when the coffee is served, don’t serve curdled cream with it. Definitely don’t do it twice. (That’s a pretty basic thing and I shouldn’t have to say it, but at this hotel you do need to request that they don’t serve you spoiled food.)

Finally, if for some reason you can’t deliver these basics of hospitality, price accordingly. A higher end price point, plus the ridiculous “resort fee” is going to create the expectation among guests that they’ll be treated well, making it all the more aggravating when they receive terrible, amateur-level service over and over again. But if you can’t price accordingly, maybe comp some things so it looks like you actually care.

It’s also a good idea to check with guests periodically to see how things are going, and attempt to rectify problems while they’re still on site. Otherwise you end up with a lot of unhappy guests who vow never to set foot on the property again and leave scathing reviews on public travel sites.

We are fans of the Wynn/Encore complex, but are always looking to experience new hotels so we did not hesitate to try this one for our latest visit to Vegas and thankfully we did not regret it. The hotel style is modern with a strong use of white on the main levels which gives the interior a less distracting and more airy feel compared to other hotels on the Strip. We appreciated the more relaxing atmosphere while still getting a full Vegas experience. And best of all, the hotel is smoke free.

Our room was more colorful and included two chairs and a table overlooking the strip that was the perfect spot to enjoy the view from the floor to ceiling window. There was also a small couch, nice art work and good adjustable lighting. The bathroom was big with separate shower, tub, water closet, and a two faucet sink. It had marble accents, but otherwise was mostly vinyl tiles that did not read luxury hotel.

The pool deck on the third floor had just opened. It has about half a dozen pools to choose from of various shapes and sizes with plenty of palm trees swaying above. Hotel guests can access the pool and spa complex via the guest elevator bank and thus avoid crowds and the casino floor. The hotel gym is on the second floor and is close to the guest elevators. It is a large bright space where you should be able to get a full workout and even enjoy a Strip view. There are plenty of nice restaurants to check out, plus a stylish casual food hall for quick bites.

The hotel staff stood out for being extra friendly and helpful. They all seemed on board to make the hotel a success. The location at the northern far reaches of the Strip is a disadvantage for some, but Resorts World and the Encore/Wynn are an easy walk away. And although it is a less interesting area, it is also a lot less crowded. The resort fee is $45 per day, and our rate included parking which was easy to do.

Given a lot of the big famous hotels on the Strip get so so reviews on this site especially for worn rooms, we felt our decision to stay at a brand new hotel was a really smart call that worked out well for us.

I had not stayed at this property before and needed something on short notice. After a quick search I noticed that the prices here were significantly lower than prices on the central part of the strip, so we decided to give it a shot.

It was an easy Uber ride from the airport and the property was clean and well maintained. Check in at 10pm was easy and straightforward.

We had booked a double queen room and it was large, with comfortable beds and very nice bathroom (separate tub and shower and vanity/sink that was large enough for two people to use at the same time). My single room complaint was that there isn't a coffee machine, but the coffee shop downstairs was easily accessible and fast ($7 cup of drip coffee). At night there was some noise from a TV in an adjacent room but it wasn't bad.

In the past this has been a sketchy part of town but after walking from the Cosmo to the Font at 11pm on a Saturday night, I found it to be very mellow. No insane behavior/drug addicts or homeless people and we felt quite safe walking LV Blvd through this section. We were only hassled by one guy who was hustling for some strip clubs, but he was pretty friendly and not aggressive.

We didn't gamble or eat at any restaurants on the property and we didn't use the pools or the gym, but what I appreciated was that it wasn't as crowded as other resorts on the strip, and it felt very clean and modern. It was very easy taking a ride share service from the Font to other areas. It's also close to the arts district, which has great breweries and casual food. Absolutely would stay again if I needed to be on the strip.

Fabulous Fabulous Fabulous! Who wouldn't like a sparkly new hotel with exceptional amenities? I was greeted by Rich, who is a very welcoming and informative front desk receptionist. It is nice to have an oasis far from the strip activity, yet an easy Uber ride away from shows and dining. We were given a room on the 61st floor.. phenomenal view! The room and very large bathroom (with a true soaking tub) was immaculate and had detailed touches that reminded me of the Ritz. Being new, the casino was pristine with no odor of smoke. If you like to stay in a smoke haze, crowded facility...go stay at Caesar's or the Bellagio. You will see the difference! The spa was over the top with it's snow room and the dining options were good. There was a jazz speakeasy with lively entertainment as well. The pool area is beautiful and can accommodate a large crowd easily.

The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because there are still kinks that need to be worked out. Our room was not restocked with towels or freshened up (trash needed be emptied) despite making 3 requests. I waited for towels to shower, I was told it would be sent up right away... I fell asleep waiting. I made a 3rd call in the morning and it was finally delivered. Also because of it's massive size, the hallway to the rooms can be very long. There are over 3,000 rooms so do not expect service to be highly personal such as recognition by staff when you pass through the lobby. Lastly, I recommend you make reservations and go to their signature restaurants. The Food court was of poor value for the price. Roadside taco was $8 for a very small taco ($98 for 3 people and all we had was several tacos each and non-alcoholic drinks) :(

Typical for Vegas during the winter months to only have one heated pool available or the spa as an option. These months usually allow for pool maintenance and repairs, the staff is slimmed down vs in the warmer months and lifeguards aren’t usually on duty around the main pools. I agree that ‘hot tub’ area off the entrance to the pool area is a strange set up and wish it were a truly heated and jetted experience.

They offer a steamer! I personally prefer this way more than your typical ironing board. It’s way faster and very convenient!
