The Vdara Hotel & Spa garners a mix of feedback from guests. Its central location is widely commended for convenience and quietness, yet some visitors find the layout perplexing. While the service receives accolades for its friendly staff, issues like unexpected fees and lengthy waits have marred the experience for others. Noise can be bothersome for a few, even at higher elevations.
The hotel's atmosphere and rooms are seen as a blend of modern luxury and signs of wear. Cleanliness receives polarized reviews, with some guests satisfied and others noting neglect. Amenities like the non-smoking policy and kitchenettes are appreciated, though extra charges leave many feeling the value isn't quite there.

Choosing the right hotel for a vacation—especially for a milestone birthday—requires careful research, and I had a few specific requirements in mind. I wanted a hotel with a stunning view of the strip, one free from the pervasive smell of cigarette smoke, and close enough to other hotels to be in the heart of the action. The Vdara met all my expectations, and I was absolutely not disappointed. From check-in to check-out, the experience was truly five-star.
Upon arrival, Kea at the front desk asked if I was celebrating anything special, and when I mentioned my milestone birthday, she made a note. Hours later, I was surprised with a delightful gesture—chocolate-covered strawberries in my room. A thoughtful touch that I truly appreciated.
I had booked a Wellness Studio Suite with a view of the Bellagio Fountains, but to my delight, the view surpassed all expectations. From my window, I could see not only the famous Bellagio Fountain show but also the Eiffel Tower, the Sphere, the Bellagio pool, and even the surrounding mountains. It was hands down the best view I’ve ever had in Vegas—far better than the typical strip view or the less appealing views behind many hotels.
The room itself was spacious and immaculate, with a kitchen area complete with a table for two, a living area with a television, sofa, and chair, and a large, comfortable bedroom. The bathroom was similarly impressive. Contrary to some reviews I had read, I found the room to be impeccably clean and updated, with modern features like on-demand TV, an interactive infotainment center, electric blackout shades, and two large-screen televisions. The kitchen was a fantastic bonus, allowing me to reheat leftovers or prepare simple meals.
The bed was extremely comfortable, and I slept well every night. While I personally prefer a softer down pillow, the linens were luxuriously soft, and the towels were perfect. Despite never seeing housekeeping during my stay, my room was magically cleaned every day, as if by invisible fairies.
The staff at the Vdara were all exceptional. Every interaction, from security guards to management, was filled with genuine friendliness and a clear desire to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. It was evident that the staff are well-trained to anticipate guests’ needs, which elevated the overall experience.
The Vdara’s location is unbeatable, right in the heart of the strip but without the casino, meaning no cigarette smoke and a more serene lobby atmosphere. For those who enjoy gambling, the Aria’s casino is just a three-minute walk away, and you can reach the Bellagio or Cosmopolitan’s casinos via indoor walkways in under ten minutes. This prime location made it easy to access all the best that the strip has to offer, from world-class dining to incredible shows.
A special thank you to Kevin and Estefany from the management team, who went above and beyond to assist with my birthday dinner arrangements when I wasn’t sure who to turn to. Their help made the evening even more special.
All in all, this was the best trip I’ve ever had to Vegas, with the best views and the most pleasant experience all around. Thank you to the entire Vdara team—you are all superstars!

Excellent hotel in a fantastic location linked to Bellagio, Cosmo and Aria. Couldn't ask for a better location. All the hotets are linked directly to the Vdara and Bellagio and Cosmo with the wide array of dining was a true winner.
We selected the hotel to avoid the crowds as Vdara does not have a casino and while the lobby can get crowded at times, the lack of the casino ensured that the crowds were still less.
Check in was easy but comes with a hefty resort fee with no real added benefits. The Bonvoy Mariott status gets you nowhere as it is a reverse match - that means MGM members get Mariott recognition but not vice versa.
Though we booked the base category studio we got a room with a partial Bellagio fountain view and our room had full view of the Bellagio pool.
Room is very very spacious with a kitchen and fridge, dining table, a living area and a seprate bedroom. Rooms has 2 large tv's with plenty of channels for surfing. The bath is largish with a stand-in shower, a tub and very good toileteries.
Vdara does not have great dining options but who needs that with Bellagio & Cosmo - I think that was the purpose.
The drawback is that we stayed for 5 nights and despite reminding front desk to get the room cleaned several times, we had it cleaned once !!
Would recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a hotel with location and large rooms.

Nice and comfortable hotel. Easy to cut through Aria to get to the strip. Food bar in lobby is open 24/7, but pricey. Bar in lobby has an outdoor area with heaters and a lounge area that is nice. Starbucks is also conveniently in the lobby area. We had a room with a kitchenette, "living room", king bed and bath with a deep oval tub. It was very clean and comfortable. The black-out blinds are on a remote on the wall. TV in both living and bedroom, but the two sides are open to each other. Everyone knows that the stuff in the frig (the bar) is very expensive, but available. But our biggest complaint is that the kitchen isn't stocked, you have to ask for pots, tea pot, forks etc, plates and they don't tell you that they CHARGE you for each item you ask for. There is a Kurig on the counter, but they charge you $18 per K-cup since it's in a "kit"... meaning it's in a paper cup with a stirrer, sweetner and cheap napkin and sealed. We asked for coffee and they came up with mugs, plates and Kurig cups that they were going to charge us $36 for!!! For crap coffee?? We were excited to have a kitchen because we thought we could make ourselves breakfast and late night snacks, but they made that nearly impossible. That was extremely disappointing. Even Motel 6 provides free coffee and tea. Not here! I'd be worried that they would charge me $5 for a coffee stirrer.

The customer service and charging were an absolute disgrace. Between family, we booked 5 rooms for our daughter’s wedding. The couple themselves didn’t get their rooms cleaned once without having to complain and not always even then. There wasn’t even a “welcome” fruit basket for the happy couple. Our son’s family couldn’t find the bedding for our granddaughter’s sofa bed. When the contacted the front desk they said they’d send someone up with linen who could make up the bed and there’d be a $40 charge (plus tax of course). He informed them he’d booked for 3 people and wouldn’t be paying any extra. They decided “on this occasion” they wouldn’t charge “but in future” they would. If you lift (but not when you return it of course) the bottle of water or snacks from the tray on the worktop, a sensor immediately adds a charge to your a/c which you then have to resolve with reception. They hold $300 on your credit card on arrival btw. I fell down two steps in the lobby area (uniform dark flooring and didn’t see them and I was stone cold sober!). Not one member of staff came to my aid or asked if I was ok. An hour later one did ask another of our group if one of us had fallen and did we want to report it. They didn’t request my room number and never contacted me about it. I flew to Washington early next morning so only heard from after the holiday was over. The moderately sized outdoor pool only has standard brollies and were lowered for H&S reasons when it was windy. There is no other shade/planting so the pool becomes unusable unless you’ve booked a $200 plus per day cabana. This happened on more than one occasion to our party. On another day they closed the only pool for a private function. The pool is part of the “service charge” of $38 you pay PER NIGHT (unless you book yourself directly with the hotel). The prices/tax and tipping in America are eye watering now but the Vdara left us feeling ripped off ($42 for a pin-a colada at the poolside bar). The customer service is dreadful and you certainly aren’t left feeling valued or cared for as a guest. The staff come across as defensive and only capable of answering from an extremely familiar script which I suspect they’re only too familiar with.

Omg, this place was not signed at all if you were looking to park. The parking is combined with the Aria, which was not told to us. cones everywhere close to the entrance of the Aria. Asked twice about where to park. received many different directions. you have to take the Aria tram to get to the Vrada and up down and through halls, etc to find the Vdara entrance, Literally, we wasted too much of our time moving luggage, and ourselves through the route to finally find our room. Use the valet, but its 40.00 a pop. Don't eat items from the room a bottle of water was 14-16 bucks. The room was nice, carpets were dirty and couldn't really make the room very cool. Would not stay here again.

Currently mid-way through our week long stay at the Vdara and not at all impressed. 3 star hotel at 5 star prices and it’s all down to the unfriendly, passive aggressive, saccharine “have a nice day through gritted teeth” attitude of the staff. Most are entitled, min wage kids with no concept of service quality.
Arrived by car, no signposting to parking, so end up in valet lane. Asked for help from staff outside and received a curt “what do you wanna do here buddy? Valet or directions to self parking”. Yeah, that’s how to speak to guests. Self parking is a convoluted tram ride away, so went valet. Big mistake: they lost our car and had to wait 30 minutes for it to come out. Still got charged for the (in)convenience of valet.
The suite (Executive Corner, 1 bed). First one stank of smoke, 2 hour wait to be moved. Second one ok, but showing a lot of signs of disrepair. Shower items (shampoo, shower gel etc) are from a dolls house. Dust everywhere.
“Full kitchen”, what a joke. Electric hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and that’s it. No kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery at all. So, you ring down to housekeeping and they send: 2 plates, 2 bowls, plastic cutlery (no large spoon so good luck with cereal), one pan, one pot. Nothing to prepare food with (no chopping board, no knives, nothing). No dishwasher powder either. Second attempt to ask for specific items led to just one tiny dollar store chopping board and a blunt knife. Gave up (maybe what they’re hoping you do).
Pool is nice, the girl sitting at the entrance not so much. Another passive aggressive and entitled gen-Z kid. They search your bags before you’re allowed to enter and there’s a total ban on bringing in any food or drink that wasn’t specifically bought at the hotel. Because after spending thousands of dollars on the suite and dining, they’d prefer to pi55 off their guests who have the audacity to have bought a salad elsewhere, rather than miss out on a few dollars for a sandwich. This goes for any food you may have brought from your “full kitchen”. We ate in our suite.
This is the last part of our month-long vacation and it’s really soured our experience. Do better Vdara, your guests have a lot of money and a lot of choice about where it gets spent.

Double-sided hotel. It has many pros, but also many cons... Let's start with the pros. The location is certainly excellent. Away from the chaos of the strip, but not too much. With an internal tunnel in 2 minutes you enter the nearby Bellagio and in less than 5 minutes with a pleasant external walk you are at Aria. There is also an Air Train that connects Bellagio, Vdara and Aria. So the travel options are varied and comfortable. On the other hand, food is very scarce, as there is a Starbuck's inside, a market open 24 hours but with little choice and another bar in the hall which is a little more stocked but not at the same level as the restaurants. The swimming pool, which we did not have the opportunity to try due to lack of time, is well located, although to have a deckchair you have to pay a supplement and book in advance. The room. Certainly spacious as it has a small kitchen at the entrance, a living room, bedroom and bathroom. The view is excellent, especially if you manage to get a room on the higher floors. But let's move on to the cons. Poor cleaning. Our microwave still had lasagna from I don't know how many customers ago, as it was covered in mould. When we informed the reception they sent a lady who didn't speak English, but only Spanish and who used Google Translate to communicate with us... we informed the lady not only of the poor cleanliness, but also of the fact that we had paid to have the sofa extra bed and for the entire 3 days that we stayed in the hotel he did not arrange it. Ultimately I noticed that the general level of Las Vegas has dropped a lot in terms of quality of service, but from a hotel that charges more than 400 dollars a night you expect impeccable service. However, here we are far from the quality standards that a hotel of this level must have.

Myself and my Husband stayed at the Vdara from 27th - 31st March for my Birthday. A few mixed feelings on this hotel if I’m honest, location is excellent, the suites are well equipped and a decent size, some (like ours) with a beautiful view. However, there are some issues that need addressing, such as the cleanliness and customer service when it comes to dealing with customer issues.
We were first allocated room 49012 which upon entry had a musty smell, a bit like cabbage, we later discovered that the carpet by the bathroom was soaked through and likely causing this smell. We contacted reception and were told that maintenance would come up to the room to inspect and suggest a resolution. I do not know the maintainance man’s name but he was lovely! We were told a wet/dry vac would be completed and that this would hopefully sort the issue. Sadly when we returned after a day out the smell was still present and carpet wet, we therefore asked for a move to another room. The first room provided was a complete downgrade and therefore we were very frustrated, view completely obstructed by the cosmopolitan and a smaller room without divider. We revisited reception and were reluctantly given another room, this was better, 3 floors lower than our first room but with the same view (46030) at this point a credit of $100 was also added as an apology (it was my birthday and a lot of stress!). It is worth adding that during this entire experience I didn’t not feel that the staff really cared about the issue and that was frustrating, I am also not convinced the hotel would fix the problem before moving the next couple into our original cabbage smelling room.
On checkout the credit given was not applied to our bill and so we had to go back to the hotel to resolve, really fustrating and just a waste of the little time we had left on our last day.
Issues aside the hotel does hold a lovely location with walkway access to bellagio and cosmopolitan hotels. We liked that it was non-smoking and without a casino as felt like a retreat away from the hustle and bustle each day! If you don’t have any issues with your room then I have no doubt you’ll love staying at this property.
I think with a bit more TLC and more caring attitude to customer service it could be a fab hotel. Unfortunately due to the above experience I would have to think twice before rebooking, but I wouldn’t rule it out completely.

Booked the room through secretsuites.com. Cost US$2106 for 3 nights for a 2 bed, 2 ensuite apartment. Good value compared to other options available at the time. View from Room 26, is the best available, in my opinion. It's as far right as you can get without being blocked by the Cosmopolitan Hotel, and has great views down The Strip, The Sphere, Eiffel Tower, and, of course, the Bellagio Fountains. A room in the same location, on a lower floor, would work just as well. The room had a washing machine, which is handy when you've been travelling for a couple of weeks, and need to freshen up your wardrobe. Room also had automatic window shades and blockout screens, to improve privacy and reduce early morning sunlight beaming in. Good sized kitchen with a fullsize fridge was also nice. Thisis the second time we've stayed at the Vdara, and we will definitely stay there again. Highly recommended for it's central location & views.

Third time we have stayed at Vdara but first time since pandemic. The hotel staff are still helpful and friendly and we like that there isn’t a casino but there is easy access to Aria, Bellagio and Cosmopolitan. However, the pool area is not as it was and drastically needs a clean up. The sun loungers had seen better days. In fact some were so worn that you wouldn’t want to sit on them. The pool area didn’t open until 11am and that is an October thing. However, appeared the staff didn’t know this - the door was just locked and a queue formed. When I went to get a couple of towels for me and my partner I was told only one towel per person. I pointed over to my partner but was told he had to come and get one himself! Ten night stay - we only went to the pool twice; it was disappointing. One visit we made the mistake of ordering food at the pool. Nachos and guacamole and salsa. It turned up in a bag and was basically a container with nachos in and some ketchup! We had to ask for the guacamole and salsa - came out in two very small pots (see pic). Aside from that it was a lovely place to stay - looking a little tired in some areas. Don’t have the Fiji water left on the side - over $20 in price but the sign next to it makes it sound like complimentary. It’s nice to have a little kitchen in the room. Meant we could make our own coffee (you have to ask for cups and cutlery) and that was much better than using the Starbucks and the little shop downstairs.

The basic rooms come with a microwave, cook top and mini refrigerator. No freezer, which is ridiculous, because there are small refrigerators with freezers.
Most of the US hotel rooms we stayed at in Nov/dec 2023, including Vdara had multiple working USB -A ports in the room. We stayed at a studio fountain room.
