The Downtowner Boutique Hotel garners praise for its friendly staff and the added value of complimentary amenities, including parking and mini golf. Its location near Fremont Street makes it a hit for those seeking walkability to downtown attractions.
While guests appreciate the clean and cozy rooms, some have raised concerns about street noise and dated features. Nonetheless, the hotel's affordability and family-friendly retro atmosphere, coupled with its cleanliness, make it a popular choice for budget-conscious travelers.

The Downtowner is just beyond the end of the beaten path of Fremont Street in Las Vegas. Smaller, it is retro hotel 🏨 style while being affordable and comfortable.
Rooms are sparse without a microwave or fridge or coffee maker but are well maintained and have a large shower.
Staying in December didn't allow for comfortable playing of mini golf but location and price made up for the weather.

I would be grounded in LV due to an airline and global IT issue, I panicked; I would be in LV for another 3 days and not for pleasure. My wife helped me look for hotels in the area and there was very little availability. She told me about The Downtowner near Fremont St. I was excited about.
We booked it and a few hours later I checked in. The process was VERY smooth and the room, location, amenities, and vibe were great. I thank the staff for being prepared for the millions of people grounded for days, as well as for having such a nice motel near a great location in downtown LV.
Stay at the Downtowner for business, pleasure, and all other reasons while in LV.

When I come to Vegas to play WSOP, I like to stay at The Downtowner because it's quiet, off the strip, budget friendly, convenient with bar and grab n go items at check-in area, attentive staff service, comfy pillows, cable TV, wifi, gym, put put golf for my niece & nephew, swimming pool across street, FREE parking, & walk to Fremont Street for restaurants and entertainment. Lovely for the value & savings, $20 resort fee which is way less than casino hotels. I personally prefer to stay off the strip

The Downtowner is a hidden gem of a hotel. The property is clean, the room is clean, smells nice, and the price is very reasonable. Upon entry you are greeted by the wonderful staff and immediately feel welcomed. The check in desk aka the bar at the main entrance, is 24 hrs and should you feel a drink can wait, you proceed to your room that is across a mini golf lobby, this boutique is recommended if you plan to stay downtown Las Vegas, it’s close to restaurants and bars but far enough for peace and quiet.

In short, the reviews and photos I saw online before booking The Downtowner did not accurately represent what we experienced during our stay. While the customer service was excellent, the room was not up to par. When we walked in the room after checking in, the first thing we noticed was that the floor was not clean, which is kind of a big deal when you're living somewhere for a few days — I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot in the room. The surfaces of the nightstand and the table underneath the TV also did not look like they were recently cleaned. On the other hand, the bathroom sink, toilet, and shower looked fairly clean, minus some wear and tear on the shower tile. There was also a fairly loud clicking noise that would start and stop at random times, which made it hard to fall asleep at times. We're not quite sure exactly where the noise was coming from, but it seemed like it was coming from somewhere above/around the sink area. Overall, I would probably not book a room at The Downtowner again on the sole basis that it was not clean.

The Downtowner Boutique is walking distance to Fremont Street just a block away. The resort fee is only $20 per day and includes free parking which is really good for Las Vegas. The only issue I had was they are temperature controlled and our room got pretty hot at night but I guess some people like it hot, I sleep better when it’s cold. The staff made up for it though they were all very pleasant and helpful! I will stay there again in my next visit!

Thank you! Our temperature in the Fairway building is controlled by a chiller system which we switched to A/C shortly after your stay! Keep in mind on your next visit we also have rooms in the Wylde that are controlled by individual a/c and heat so you are in full control all year long! Thanks again for reviewing us!

My brother and I recently visited Vegas for the weekend, we were surprised by how much the hotels cost even downtown. Stumbled upon the Downtowner and we were glad we did. Definitely a no frills kind of place but has some nice perks- quick easy check in at the bar with Leslie who was hilarious. 6 hole mini golf course on the property, which we somehow didnt play but should have. A nice pool across the street that was open 9am-9pm (most Strip pools are only open 9-5) and we had it all to ourselves in the middle of a warm afternoon. And most importantly, nice clean rooms where everything worked, lights, shower, etc. The hotel is a 5 min walk from Fremont Street and the Container Park, easy to get to but far enough away to get a good night's sleep. Would definitely recommend the Downtowner for anyone coming to Downtown Vegas.

Visited town 48 hours for a family birthday, so staying near the Strip or gazing the hotel-casino resorts was not a priority. Wanted to find somewhere affordable + clean, with good reviews. I am happy to say that I did three (3) Zoom meetings via the (free) WiFi and all was swell! Front desk staff were friendly. Opening entrance bar has a social vibe if you are traveling in small groups of friends, etc. Parking is included with your resort fee across the street. Text communication with front desk is accessible and prompt. Area is not the family-oriented or high-roller vibes of the LV Strip. If you have a car, it is absolutely a viable, affordable alternative to staying in the touristy area.

It’s a perfect little room just what I needed it for :) staff was very nice it’s enclosed so you have to get in from front desk You park across the street. And pool is across street also but gated too if you get the very front music is almost always on so if you want quieter ask for a room further away. I needed no stairs so I didn’t care .
