Not what I was expecting Stayed for 2 nights at the Strat Not really a great stay 1st room phone dead and TV not work 2 nd room AC did not work Moved to The 3 rd room and the hotel upgraded me to a very clean and nice room. Restaurant was hard to get into for lunch and ended up going across the street to order to go across street and bring back to My room. Staff were very helpful with my room issues Recommend to book an upgraded room if you visit here Not really happy but it is what it is . Outside the hotel many like homeless vagrant people across street as I walked to the Circle K.

I stayed at this property this past weekend for the first time. I did choose this location for the much lower pricing that was available so I did not have much expectations. I had just recently stayed downtown (Fremont street), so I was not expecting a lot. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Checking was outstanding and the the property is really nice. The room is, well, it’s a room, not why I was going. The casino floor and everyone employed at the Strat are the reason to come. Every, and I mean every, dealer, waitstaff, bartender and floor manager were completely AWESOME! Tip: get a players card (takes about a minute) and start to experience the true feeling of the what Vegas is suppose to be. I spent many hours on the casino floor, they had plenty of table options, very knowledgeable staff to assist and it was a great time. I wish I could remember each persons name to recognize, but alas I can’t. I highly recommend staying or playing at the Strat! I ate at the 24 hour diner both days for breakfast. Elliot at the bar near the table games is awesome! I even forgot my room key a couple of times and never had any issues getting them replaced. If you take a ride share from the airport you do dropped off in the back of the hotel so it is a walk to checkin. I would definitely come back!

Checked in to an extremely long line for in person Check ins were happening because 1 self check in kiosk was working. There was a huge line for that, too. A woman who used the self check in told us that she was suffering through with a mistake it had made and gave her a “disgusting smoking room with one queen bed” she was there with a female companion that they were not comfortable sleeping together, but the line was too long that they were just keeping it. Our room was $40 more a night due to an “eligibility for an upgrade” as Alex at check in told me. After that woman’s story- i accepted the charge. We were supposed to have a king bed, but had 2 queens. Oh well, at least it wasn’t smoking. The window looked out to the broken spotlights on their low roof. The walls were paper thin and you could hear everything, especially in the hallways. The “virtual concierge Ivy” was a joke. There was no other way to get a hold of a customer service person for the hotel. No in room phones, lamps had no plugs. HORRIBLE. Our room was not cleaned/dusted- AT ALL. The observation deck/sky pod weren’t only confusing to find- it was confusing to use once you did find them. And completely expensive. A lot of shops closed there too. The casino was filthy and nothing was taken care of. The entrance alone into the parking garage should have been enough of a fair warning on what type of place we were staying at. Very unfortunate housing all around with broken windows and people sleeping on the stairs. It felt EXTREMELY dangerous and completely scary. But our stay was NOT cheap. It was hundreds more than the other places we looked at. Wish us luck being able to properly complain to a service person there, but i doubt it. WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. And would NEVER stay here again. Wish me luck getting a refund/talking to someone from here.

Flooded floor, dirty bathtub, dusty room, chewing gum in carpet, smoker room given to non-smoker, neighbouring guests had blocked toilets, maids trying to break into room, excessive queues for check-in, no alternate room offered, refund given, aggressive staff and armed security (?!) Other guests had similar issues.

Even though the property is at the end of the strip, a bus stop is located right outside the property so getting around the city is no problem at all. They have a free Downtown Loop shuttle that takes you up to Freemont Street. There is a 24hrs Mcdonald's in the building and quite a few restaurants around the property. Rooms are fairly large and the bed is comfortable. The Check-out was easy and seamless. The SkyPod is a fun experience and they have a number of shows running within the property to keep you entertained. Free parking is available at the property but doesn't seem to be very secure. A few things to point out: Strong smell of weed all over the property, even though there are multiple signs saying that smoking weed within the property is a finable offence. They should have a refrigerator and mini bar available in the room at the very least. The front desk pushes you to upgrade at the time of check-in, and lose all interest in you when you decline.
