Visited 9th - 16th Feb as a solo traveller. No queue upon check in, I had booked a standard room and was offered an upgrade for $10 per night. The room (16071) was modern, clean and comfortable with a safe, fridge and coffee maker. I found the staff friendly and helpful. I used

We knew before we went that this was one of the cheaper hotels on the strip and it pretty much lived up to expectations. Casino seemed to be having a lot of updates while we were there. Room was a decent size with a view of the car park. To be fair we were happy with what we got

On our 3 week road-trip to US, this was the cheapest hotel stay we had with "free" parking. We of course tipped the valet. We chose to upgrade to a "suite" for a minor fee. Got a big room, but did not seem to have been renovated since the hotel was built. Hotel room felt old and

This is a Tourists' Hotel...Luxurious and full of pleasant surprises. The rooms are sized large enough for a couple and their child.( even two children) The fridge is stacked well enough for a quick bite or a nice coffee. There are enough restaurants for different cultures and

Would it be advisable to walk from Stratoshpere to Fremont Street area?
I would not. It is not in a good neighborhood. My recommendation is to take an über, Lyft, or taxi there, that’s what we did. Less than $7.00USD and worth the piece of mind. The mono rail is a couple blocks away to take you down to where The Strip actually begins. I would walk that only in daylight. While at the Stratosphere, be sure to eat at their Italian restaurant - Fellini’s - seriously the best Italian in Las Vegas.

It would take about 45mins to walk, much easier to jump on the deuce bus, stops outside the Strat. $8 for 24 hours or $20 for 3 days

does Select Room have Fridges
Select rooms do not. You would have to pay to upgrade your room.

There's a hair dryer, but not fridge, no kettle, no microwave in any standard room. I didn't notice the safe in the room, sorry.

There is a city bus that goes up and down the stop for about $8. For an interesting way to see Vegas, do the hop-on hop-off bus. It has a tour guide who gives commentary about sights.
