The impersonal check in is all automated, no one to talk to, Watch out for the resort fees, my travel agent told me it would be $39.95 per night, Harrah's charged $45.90 per night. The hotel was very nice and clean right in the center of town

Las Vegas is Back! We were in town to see Morrissey across the street at the Coliseum at Caesar's. His show was fantastic, by the way. It had been about 3 years since I had been to Harrah's - just before the pandemic. Let me say that Harrah's is now much nicer than I remember. They must have remodeled. Our standard king room on the pool level was beautiful, modern, clean and comfortable in every way. Pricing was very reasonable. Even though we were not paying anything close to Wynn rates, I feel the room was comparable. So perfectly clean. I think we have all noticed that customer service in general has worsened through the pandemic, but Harrah's staff could not have been friendlier, from housekeeping staff to front desk. Again, and I'll soon get the the real point, although we did not pay for a first-class experience, we feel like we got one. Here's the 'restored my faith' part. So, I am playing video poker at Harrah's at the same machine for an hour or so. I decided to cash out. I got up from the machine and walked the short distance to the ticket redemption kiosk and quickly realized I had left my phone at the video poker machine. I went back - perhaps two minutes passed. My phone was not there, but I noticed an ashtray which I had moved away from the machine when I initially sat down had returned, so someone had been there. So, I figured....Vegas, tons of people through the casino....it's gone. And it's my own stupidity; my fault. I started to think about all the things...pictures, contacts, etc...that were in that phone. Not wanting to focus on the loss or the hassle that awaited me to replace the phone and try to replace what was stored in it, I walked outside and into Casino Royale next door, where I played a bit more video poker, but the vibe in there at that moment just wasn't what I needed. Here it is....I walked back into Harrah's and just inside were 4 yellow-shirt security/police staff, and a man in a suit. I thought....do I try to report the loss of my phone? Before I could really decide, the yellow-shirts dispersed, leaving the man in the suit. He seemed very approachable, so I approached. I told him...I know it's a long shot, but I lost my phone. He was extremely professional and started asking all the right questions: when did you last see the phone? About an hour ago. Describe the phone. Black iPhone 12. He started talking into what looked like just his bare hands, and he must have had an earpiece I could not see. I actually wondered if I was being punched, but in very short order, after further specific descriptions of the phone, he said, "I think we have it". He walked me to an area in the casino and told me to wait there; he would meet me there in a few minutes. He returned after a few minutes with the phone, further verified it was mine by asking me to unlock it. Once he was satisfied it was mine, he had me sign a receipt and returned it to me. And, I very much appreciated also the fact that he verified it was mine. The experience also made me feel safe there - obviously much more to security at Harrah's than meets the eye. . Blown away. Phenomenal experiences from start to finish at Harrah's.

Had a nightmare start with long check in and 2 rooms booked not available. Had to stay 1 night and move the next day, which all eats into the short time you have to enjoy yourself. In fairness the resort fee was waved for the inconvenience for 2 nights and had $50 per room towards food & beverages which softened the blow. Other than this the hotel was clean, has a good casino and excellent restaurants. We love Chris Ruth’s having eaten there every time we come to Vegas but Gordon Ramsey’s kitchen in the hotel was exceptional & is a must to eat in. Cocktail waitresses were friendly and frequent.

Been visiting Harrah’s LV since the 90’s and has always been a favorite. Just back and boy have things changed since last year (not for the better). Corridor and room carpets absolutely disgusting. HVAC did not work properly in room. Appeared short staffed on casino floor with long wait times for slot attendants and most employees seem unhappy (used to be friendly staff on strip). No one actively cleaning gaming machines (disgustingly dirty). Very long lines and wait times at cash cage. Witnessed two incidents with homeless people wondering the floor and stealing tips on the casino bar top and one harassing people for a hand out. Security not highly visible on gaming floor. Food quality has declined and prices have skyrocketed. It’s a full on gouge with the menu prices. Beware!

I have been to Vegas many times. This was the worst hotel experience ever. My room smelled like sewer, front desk would not move me. I was there 5 days and it was bad. Only concession was to clean my room and get me some fresh towels. Really bad customer experience.

Check-in was OK. Had payed for a room with a view to the strip, but could only see a roof of the other building. Had to pay extra for cleaning of the room, no kettle or coffee in the room, no fridge in the room. Room was very dirty, hairs everywhere, old hand soap not removed from previous visitor in the shower. Room is pretty worn. Not going to stay here again.

First of all, the self check-in kiosk did not work, and we had to get someone to come and help us, which was a longer ordeal than it should have been. Next, they put us in a smoking room, which we had specifically booked a non-smoking room months prior. The lady told us that there were absolutely no non-smoking rooms available, which I found hard to believe. We were willing to give it a shot. Went up to the room and walked in, and had to walk right back out because of the stench of cigarette smoke. Had to go back downstairs and wait forever to talk to a manager about the issue. He was helpful and got us in a non-smoking room. But another issue was the cleanliness of the room. They were pubic hairs all over the floor in the bathroom, and the shower glass door was a mystery, as it was only a half door. I don’t know why they thought that was a good idea because it’s not really functional, and you’re cold while taking your shower. Also, there is no fridge in the rooms. If you asked for one, you have to pay for it. We were able to get it free because of my partner’s birthday, but be prepared to pay for one if you would like that in your room. We were also promised a $50 food credit, which we never received. I cannot say that I would ever stay at this hotel again.

This was our third time staying here, this time we decided to stay in a slightly bigger studio room. We arrived around 1pm and asked about early check-in. $50 dollars to do this so unsurprisingly we didn't bother, we just left our luggage at the bell desk for a bit. I understand paying a small fee but $50 is ridiculous when your room is already ready. We returned about 3.15pm, we'd booked a Mountain studio room but there wasn't one ready so we were allocated a Valley studio room. We didn't use a kiosk as we wanted to use a separate card for the security deposit, but pay for our stay with another card. Unfortunately after check out we noticed that the staff member had made a mistake and took half our room payment from each card which we didn't want. We were in room 22050, had a great view of the Mirage and to our delight the volcano show was still running so watched this from our room a couple of times during our stay. Room was huge, with a dining area by the window and a little dressing table which was handy for doing hair/makeup. No coffee maker or fridge. There was an iron but the board was missing, housekeeping were very quick to bring one when I called them. Our room safe was broken too, but again someone came to fix it within 15 minutes which was excellent. We were offered daily housekeeping on check-in but declined this. You used to get a small room credit for this but not anymore apparently. Bathroom was large with plenty of towels etc. The sliding door didn't seem to stay shut though (and there's no lock), so it was a bit frustrating trying to guide it into place to stop it opening. Not a big deal, maybe we had a dodgy door. We used the food court for pastries/pizza a couple of times which was handy. We also loved the Signature bar (opposite the piano bar) for playing video poker as we found all the staff who worked there really friendly and they gave great service. Overall we enjoyed our stay, just a shame the few things mentioned above stopped me rating it excellent.

We booked a single queen room in the Mountain Tower through our credit card (Chase Sapphire Reserve), and expected to at least get what we paid for on our anniversary trip. When we arrived, the staff forced us to check in on one of the automated kiosks instead of with a real person. The kiosk was fine, but we would have preferred some actual greeting. We then went up to our room to find it was not what we booked at all. It was a room with two double/full mattresses, meaning we wouldn't realistically be able to sleep in the same bed on our anniversary. If we had been able to speak to a real person when we checked in, we probably wouldn't have gone all the way up the 50th floor and all the way back down to the front desk with all of our luggage. When we got back to the front desk to get the room we paid for, the associate was completely unhelpful and, worse, unapologetic. She recognized that I booked a room with a queen, but told me there was nothing she could do about it tonight because they were all booked up. Clearly they sold our room or upgraded a bigger spender, and expected us to be content with a room worse than what we booked and paid for. We unhappily accepted a measly $30 food & beverage credit because we were left with no other options that night. They also told us that we could move into the proper room the next day if we wanted. We accepted, and they told us that they would call us when the room was ready. We checked back in at the front desk around 11am on our way out of the casino the next day to make sure we would get that room and a call when the room was ready. This associate was much nicer and apologetic of the situation than the previous one, and confirmed we'd get a call later that day. Come 4pm we hadn't heard anything, so we went to the front desk for a third time already on our way back into Harrah's. This third associate was nice and got us setup, but we had never received a call as we had been told multiple times at this point. Thankfully, we didn't have to check out of the first (wrong) room before getting the keys to the second (correct) room, and were able to take our stuff directly from the first to the second. The new room itself was fine (what we paid for). Our room key also did not work when it came to exit the parking garage after we checked out as we were instructed..... Given the experience, we won't be staying at Harrah's when we come back to Vegas. I could have forgiven their initial mistake, but there was absolutely no hospitality when it came to making it right. It's a shame, because both of our families have been staying there for decades. As a side note, I also found the assistance from Chase to be lacking especially compared to what we'd expect to receive from American Express for their equivalent Platinum card. We'll be taking our business elsewhere on both fronts.

Wifi keeps disconnecting and you have to keep authenticating yourself several times a day. Mandatory resort charges. Early check in or late checkout even for 30 minutes is charged. Money making mindset. Rooms do not even have an electric kettle to make coffee. I would not recommend this place for stay if you have options.
