The minute my husband and I walked into the lobby of The Prospector I felt welcomed. We were greeted by Tony Curtis. I had no idea he was working in a hotel in Ely! lol The music and the décor gave the area character, and the amazing smells coming from the dining room made our dinner choice easy. If that...

I chose this place because of the number of cars in the parking lot. As I entered it was apparent that the people inside were having a great time! The laughter and music set the mood. Tony Curtis was the desk clerk that night and I laughed telling him that I was of the generation that would remember his name....

We stayed here in October on a trip from California to Utah. We stayed one night. It was quite chilly outside, but our room was quiet, warm, and comfy. We got a good night´s rest. The beds are good! There is a Mexican restaurant off the lobby which has reasonable prices. The food was fine. We ate dinner and breakfast...

I'll start by saying we love staying at the Prospector. It's a great little motel and they are extremely accommodating if you're traveling with pets. We have stayed a number of times and have never had a bad experience, until now. We are traveling through for a family emergency, and checked in tonight. We were dismayed to learn that unless...

Stayed at the Prospector Hotel for a few days as we visited Ely. We had our dogs with us and were hugely surprised at the special rooms they had for travelers with pets. Treats, doggie bags, no-carpet floors, and a doggie bed . . . with decor designed around pet owners. This was great! Parking with direct access to the...

Stayed in Ely many times on our way to Az decided to try this hotel based on the reviews and weren't disappointed. As previously mentioned there a lot of funky artifacts in the lobby & casino but also in the rooms and added to the ambience of the place. Staff very friendly and attentive on checking and rooms themselves were...

Traveling with a giant Labradoodle can be challenging. The Prospector made our Sandy dog feel like she was at home. Big fluffly bed just for her, lots of dog treats, and plenty of room for exercise. We LOVED our stay. Thanks!

We stopped here on 11/25/2016. We had stayed here a couple of years ago and were not happy but decided to give them another try. They had signs displayed prominently stating they did AAA and AARP discounts but when I asked about it, I was told I had needed to book my room 5 days in advance to receive the...

We stopped over at Prospector as part of a 2 day drive. The staff is friendly. The rooms are big and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Good wi-fi. One restaurant on the property. We had breakfast there and it was quite good. Only complaint: We ended up with luke warm water both in the night and in the morning....
