I do not like giving negative reviews of resorts/hotels but unfortunately I am not impressed by the Maagan Eden. It is referred to as a 'tourist-class' hotel and lives down to that name. It is wonderfully located on the shore of the 'Sea' of Galilee and so its siting does in some way compensate. It provides frustratingly slow and often...

Quiet place. That's the plus. Average breakfast. Does not get close to Israeli breakfast you get at hotels in Israel. Rooms are very average. Not "spoiling rooms" at all. Far from that. Worst is the beach. Looks like the management wasn't there for a while. It is terrible to enter the water. Deep mud an rocks that hurt your feets....

The best feature of this hotel is the amazing view of the Sea of Galilee. The property is right on the shore. The units all face towards the sea. The grounds are also beautiful and well kept. There is a small beach on the shore to wade or even swim if the water is warm enough. We were there in...

Family spent three wonderful days here with Noah Tours. The beach was sweet and the couple of shells I picked up were our friends' favorite memoirs. The food is fantastic and the rooms, well really roomy. We were traveling on a budget so having to buy suppers added $20 per night to the expense (no near restaurants or groceries).

This is a basic, clean property with a lovely view of the Sea of Galilee. A little tired overall. The guest rooms are equipped with everything a traveler needs. The buffet meals were average. Staff members were friendly and helpful.

The view of the Sea of Galilee is magnificent from this kibbutz. The rooms are very modern, sleek, and unobtrusive. The staff is very helpful. Breakfast and dinner are cafeteria-style. This entire area is quiet and restful.

We stayed here with a tour. Our kibbutz was spacious. It had an "off smell" (possibly stale cigarettes) and we did not have hot water for showers the first morning. We told the reception staff and when we came back from breakfast it was fixed. The property itself is breathtaking. I recommend seeing the sunrise and sunset. The food at...

Gate 1 tour placed us here for 2 nights and it did not disappoint. The village was by the sea of Galilee and you can even walk right up to the water from the back yard. The rooms all have a living room in the front and a bedroom at the back. The restroom is in-between. The rooms were clean...

A two night stay at Maagan Kibbutz Holiday Village was part or our Israel tour package. Having never stayed at a kibbutz, we were looking forward to a new experience. Not sure we got it. Photocopies of everyone's passport is mandatory. They asked that we leave them at the front desk to quicken the admitting process. I recommend returning several...
