We stay 2 night and definitely worth the price, a little bit expensive for a backpacker but everything was so clean and tidy, bathroom and kitchen and common areas. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the view is amazing! Every bed is so comfy and has their own heather which make it really nice from someone who came...

Clean and tidy and great view. Not for anybody but backpackers though. Shared bathroom clean and shower fine but prefer private bathroom. Would have paid extra for this. Noisy as room next to the lounge.

We stayed for 4 nights in the family bedroom. It had an amazing view and the place is well organised. It's not a motel so if you have seen that description it's not at all accurate but it's also better than most backpackers. The rooms are quiet and warm, there are plenty of toilets and bathrooms so no queuing. The...

The location is great, infront of the beach. The view is stunning. The place itself is cosy. My friends and I stayed in 4pax dorm. Pro: 1. The room is clean and has heater for each bed. 2. What I love is the communal bathrooms and toilets which are separated as invidual unit. 3. Location in front of the beach...

Being woken up by the sound of the waves, opening your curtains and seeing the beach and the sea, what a delight. To us, there was simply no better way to start our stay in the greater Wellington area. Bonus: The facilities and spotless and the staff helpful. Thanks again guys!

Moana Lodge was a beautiful resort. We had one of the suites and had an amazing view of the ocean. The staff was also very friendly. The only downside we had was there were a TON of bugs that kept showing up in our room each morning. Maybe it's because it was rainy season, I'm not really sure. We didn't...

We very rarely would stay in a hostel but this place was spotted by our son in law. We wanted somewhere convenient to stay while attending our grandsons graduation from Police College. Nine of our family stayed here occupying 5 rooms. Moana Lodge justifies it's 5 star rating. It is a lovely old building and the rooms are great. The...
