Our first stage of the holiday comes to an end. It was again very nice and everything coherent, ambiance, the food and, of course, the warmth of the people. Thanks for the nice hours here. We come back.
Nice and peaceful and village relatively close to Limassol. Village has many churches and some museums. Toffas village taverne excellent food with a variety of traditional dishes. People very friendly.
This was a last minute break for summer and we'll be going back. The Avalon Houses did not disappoint in any way. OK, so the rooms are not ultra chic or ultra modern but they are comfortable, well equipped and were spotlessly. The food was excellent and the prices reasonable
We booked four of the six apartments Avalon Village Houses. Our stay was for two nights. We were 9 adults and 2 children. The pool was full of leaves and there weren't maintenance every morning. In the facilities provided was BBQ facilities but we weren't allowed to use them, and have to use the tavern own by avalon. Prices were over the minimum of the market and more expensive than the usual village prices.
I'm staying here currently and couldn't recommend this place any higher. I have my own private (small) house in a wonderful village. The people running the houses and tavern have been incredibly welcoming and the food has been amazing. The house itself is huge compared to a hotel room and the decor is authentic. I've got my own massive terrace. The pool is not huge but as it isn't busy its more than enough. Definitely need a car to get around but the village the houses are nestled in is lovely. Love this place. Will come back..
This was the best end to my Cyprus 2016 visit. Located in the hilltops outside Limassol in the village of Fasoula, this place was the perfect ending to my visit. Renovated farm land into traditional cottages giving you the experience of how life is within Cypriotic villages. Around 7 one bedroomed cottages surround by trees essenced with a calm and relaxed ambience, ideal place to sit and soak in the sun infront of a large pool garden. Avalon Houses is located in the centre therefore everything is walking distance with some of the local historical sites that can be visited. The owner Ms Maria was a lovely lady, who I personally enjoyed talking to at her 'Kitchen' restaurant where she made traditional Cypriot breakfast for me. If I came back to Cyprus this place would certainly be on the agenda.…
Avalon village houses are a beautiful tranquil place to stay and for a couple the rooms have a quaintly old romantic feel about them, tastefully decorated, everything thoughtfully catered for including pool towels, the whole place is spotlessly clean and the pool is an added delight to cool off in with soaring temperatures. To top the whole thing off is Maria who owns the attached tavern she is am absolute gem nothing is to much for her, if your eating there just have whatever is on offer you won't be disappointed. This was the 1st holiday abroad for myself and my boyfriend and we toured few places in Cyprus but our 4 day stay in Fasoula village houses was to short just didn't want to leave so if your thinking of staying here (you do need a car) I would say do it!!!!!!
I stayed at Avalon village for 4 nights and by the time I left I felt like a local. Maria who runs the houses also has a taverna where she will cook you home made Cypriot cuisine. The food just keeps on coming! I would recommend you have at least one breakfast and dinner here. The food is beautiful, fresh and gives you a chance to try many local dishes. The rooms were far bigger then I had expected as we also had our own lounge and kitchen area. It was like having our own little Cypriot villa. Complete with pool right out side the door and about 8 sun loungers who I never saw anyone in. Beach towels were also provided in the rooms. Staying there away from all the commercial tourism of Limassol you get the true local life experience. Though it's only a 10-15 minute drive into the centre. It is better if you have a car, we didn't how ever and you can get by. There are local buses and a taxi cost approximately $17-$22 . Cypriot hospitality at its best.…
If your your looking for a busy bustling location to stay, then is not it. But what it is, is a small friendly village with loads of charm and some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. If you want busy, hire a car and go down town into Limmasol about a 10-15 min drive. The owner Maria will look after you like a mother, and at the same time feed you like she was your son. The accommodation we stayed is was very tidy and quit spacious. We had a large double bed,tv,fridge, sink, double halogen hob with separate halogen cooker, which was handy. Aircon was free and so was the wifi which was very useful. The shower was very good and the storage was about right for the two of us. We had paid a little extra for the room and we were not disappointed as we were overlooking the pool, and we were on top of another 2 flats. This meant we had a huge roof top terrace all to ourselves. Apart from the quit location and beautiful scenery, what made this holiday was the owner and her family. This was truly a very relaxing and brilliant holiday.…
Booked this accommodation for my boyfriend's 30th bday & we where greeted like family. Erasmia also prepared baloons in the apartment & had a lovely meal prepared for us upon our arrival. Genuine hosts that will truly add value to any type of stay.
