Was passing and decided as we hadn't been for a while we would call in for dinner Arrived just after they opened and the place was packed, we were lucky to get a table and got the benefit of the 25% off mains if ordered before 6.30pm Food arrived quickly and was excellent . Service from Rory was fantastic and...

Have been infrequent but repeat diners here for some years. Once it could be relied upon for high quality service and food. A place for a special gathering, maybe. Went for lunch on a cold day and received a warm welcome. Shame the building was not so warm. Sat at various tables trying to avoid drafts among fellow diners huddled...

Very helpful and friendly staff, all arrangements made with the minimum of fuss. Delicious food, possibly the best pork belly & crackling we have ever had and outstanding raost beef too. Friendly atmosphere in the pub and good beer too!

We had three night's stay at the Crown & one meal in the pub. Friendly, helpful staff and had a good meal as a family of six inc two fussy children, pub were keen to accommodate kids with other food choices (would have been good to see these on a menu). Would rate the pub better than average. As a...

Went lunch on a Monday. . Pleseant pub did have bit of a wait at the bar for a member of staff to appear. We ordered drinks and food and sat in garden which could do with a little t l c. The food arrived after a little wait. My partner had a burger which was quite tasty in a...

First let me say the accommodation is cheap - £47. But the room was small, cold on entry, the bathroom (closet) miniscule and the shower not very clean. The clock had stopped, the TV only had one channel. Overall not impressed.

We used to regularly visit the pub for a night out but haven't been for 3 months and quite frankly we won't be back for a long time. The owner normally cooks and when we've been there before the food has been excellent but this time it was very poor. I had fish & chips which was the smallest portion...

Arrived and was shown our room - had the double and it served our stay perfectly. Great value for money - it was clean, newly decorated, had everything we needed and stumbling distance from the pub door -which worked for us! The pub opened at 6pm so we went for an amazing walk literally on the pub's doorstep. Across the...
