We are on month long road trip celebrating 50 years. West Yellowstone was our second stop. The Westgate was a good choice. We are traveling with our dog Beau a golden and there was nature trail across road for him. The room was spacious with a micro and fridge area. Walking distance to restaurants and quiet around hotel.

Happy Anniversary, we're glad you and Beau found our hotel to be a "good choice". We hope you'll come back soon.

The hotel looked decent and comfortable online. In reality is was dingy, and nothing like it was represented online. The water in the pool was extremely blue and looked like a bath of chemicals so needless to say we did not swim there. The bathroom had little black bugs the entire time we were there (Thankfully it was only one...

Thank you for your comments. I'm sorry you did not contact the front desk with any of these issues. We could have explained that the pool is newly sealed with blue this season, we did that to represent cool clear water and we have received many complements about the color. Although hotels in the park have their own rustic charm...

I came to West Yellowstone on a business trip and was very glad to have picked the Westgate Hotel. The desk-front help was great and the breakfast was fantastic as well. Both Dorothy and Jan were extremely helpful to me, as we switched rooms multiples times. I can't recommend this place more highly!

Thank you for staying with us. I'm glad you would recommend us to others, we don't get that many business travelers because of the area, so your recommendation really stands out. We hope you get a chance to visit for fun next time.

We stayed two nights here, because the city of West Yellowstone is close to Yellowstone NP. I would never stay in this town again. The town itself was sad and depressing. Besides tourists, mainly Chinese tourists, there is nothing. The hotel itself was expensive, very expensive (> $300 per night). Room was clean and the towels and linnen were clean....

Came to town for work and our previous housing arrangements were not suitable for our crew. We bagan searching for an alternative and found the Westgate was the only place with enough room for our crew. Dorothy helped us out and got us booked for the week within our alloted budget. Rooms were very nice and clean and clean. This...

I loved my stay in Yellowstone so much there is nothing that could upset me while there. I mean the expectation is according to the location. It will do. In any other part of the world I wouldn't stay in this hotel. But it's fine. Good: internet, parking, location is ok and quiet. Food at breakfast is good. Not so...

very helpful staff, even though not really familiar with town and NP (no locals); nice and clean rooms, windows to open; rather far to town centre; good breakfast; enough free parking; good food and entertainment possibilities in town

Hotel was barely okay...rooms very small...it is quite disconcerting to pay almost 300 per night for a hotel of this caliber...similar to motel 6...they are simply taking advantage of the fact that they are right there at west entrance of Yellowstone. Shameful.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We're sorry you felt we were not a good value. Our location next to Yellowstone National Park is a great value for anyone that doesn't want to spend extra time or money to travel hundreds of miles each way just to get to the park entrance. The hotel was rundown but it was close to the entrance of Yellowstone park. The rugs in the hotel appeared to be from the 1970's, even though they advertised newly renovated! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the town of West Yellowstone was very quaint! Very expensive hotel for a small sized room and tiny bathroom!

Thank you for your comments, we were newly remodeled with furnitue and fixtures 3 years ago. Since we are only open 6 month a year it still feels like new. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and found our staff to be freindly and helpful.

We stayed two nights Iin June. The front counter help was grumpy and at times rude. When asked for extra towels she stated " don't you use your towels twice. When asked for additional key to room, she stated two is all you need. Not a welcome environment. Will never stay here again.

I'm sorry to hear you did like your stay, we pride ourselves on being friendly and helpful and from you comments it sounds like we fell short. The worst part is we caused a customer to say they would not return. We would like the opportunity to make another stay more comfortable for you but your comments help us improve....
