A bit more rustic than I expected and definitely only big enough for families with two adults and two children. The staff were great, the grounds were very clean, and the kitchens were set up with all we needed. We moored our boat and the others their jet skis (the altitude made all of them run slow...something to think about).... More

The folks that run the place from the second we got there were very sweet, and hospitable. And it was an easy 30 drive to Yellowstone, and way quieter than the campgrounds in the park. We found this place on the fly, and although the road getting there is a little bumpy and long, (take the route that goes east/west... More

Our reservation was messed up, no one seemed to have a clue what was going on and the resort is in need of a major overhaul. We had a reserved spot and were told it was given to someone else. No one had notified us. The bathrooms were filthy and closed often due to the toilets overflowing. There are too... More

My wife and I recently stayed a week at Madison Arm Resort 8/5/16-8/11/16. We had an interesting series of experiences that makes it difficult to come back or recommend. First the good news: The resort is in an excellent location for Hebgen Lake access. It has a nice boat ramp and good boat docks with power to the dock area.... More

Drove all the way from CO to spend a week at Yellowstone. Here's the thing. This place is about 9 miles away from the park, down a twisty, gravel road. If you can't handle that, don't go. Plain and simple. The staff is awesome! Maybe some people didn't think so, but we were treated like family. The wildfires were close... More

Chose this stop because of out of the way location that had shower facilities, midpoint in 10 days of making the rounds of national forests by tent. They did make arrangements for a late checkin. When we arrived, we tried to hit the shower first (1030pm). There were 3 girls VIDEO chatting in the tiny bathroom\shower house designed for two... More

Stayed here as we went to Yellowstone Jay's minute. Recommended by visitors center. This place is a dump. Avoid it it you can. 5 mile gravel dusty road to get in and out. Waste of gas to get there Bathrooms are pathetic. Inadequate and tint and filled with mosquitoes. Biggest frustration is lack of any caring by any staff member... More

Got reservations a month in advanced. Gave a couple a choice of sites, they did not have reservations, i got the left over site. Tent spot was squeezed between 2 other sites with all the power boxes for the whole site. Got moved for the next 2 nights that were great. Bathrooms smell. Clean but smell... Last day i stopped... We tented at Madison Arms and thought it was a beautiful location! They have areas to swim, fish and boat. The resort also has beach toys to rent. However we were pretty disappointed with our stay. We made our reservations well in advance and were told we had a lake side site...when we got there we were told we did... More

We stayed 9 or 10 nights here while exploring the area. We were tent camping and the price for our spot, right on the lake was very reasonable. The view of the lake and surrounding hills was gorgeous. The staff was friendly and the general store had a great selection of food and other goods. The bathrooms and showers were... More
