My wife and I stayed at this inn in September of 2011 and found it to be an absolutely spotless and tastefully done conversion of a 100 year old stone schoolhouse. There is very obviously an extensive amount of thought, love, and cash put into this project, and the results are quite impressive. Susan is a friendly and gracious hostess...

Who would expect a lake in this area of Montana. Leave it to the Conrads and Cargills to develop this huge reservoir!! The Stone School Inn is in a 1911 building made from locally mined stone - and spectacularly clean and modern. Totally renovated about 10 years ago and as professionally run as any B&B in the country! Enjoy dinner...

As we want a stop not too far from Glacier Park, while arriving from Yellowstone, Valier is a good choice, allowing us to do a long day hike(Red Eagle lake). The stone school inn is the old school of Valier. It's on the national register. Rooms are large, cosy and bathroom perfects. It's calm and breakfast are perfect. Owner is present...

Do yourself a favor and skip the motels/hotels/"lodges" along Hwy 2. I stumbled on this little gem while researcing other hotels located on Hwy 2. It looked too good to be true, but turned-out to be truly good...no...GREAT! It was soooo worth the 15 mile detour from Hwy 2 - I promise you that! There's not much to do in...

Susan's hospitality is sensational and the room (we had the King bed room) was spotlessly clean and superbly finished. The decor throughout the property is unique and everything is done to the highest standard. It is fantastic value for money. Valier itself doesn't have many attractions, other than a very good restaurant and a lake, but we found it a...

We recently spent a night in Valier at the Stone School Inn and stayed in the Meadowlark room. We enjoyed our stay. Our room was good sized, nicely decorated and the bed slept like a dream. At Susan's suggestion we had dinner at the Lighthouse Inn...great view...good food!! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Husband happened upon this hidden gem and I couldn't have been more pleased. Susan welcomed us into her home and were made to feel welcome and to come and go as pleased. Breakfast was fabulous! Thanks Tim and Candi Wooden

Recently had a wedding at this B&B. Susan (part owner) charged us a "nominal fee" (as she puts it) to use the down stairs. Turns out it was the same as a room charge. She also charged us for the rehearsal (have of the nominal fee). She made the bride to be cry the day of the wedding because she...

My husband and I stayed at the amazing Stone School Inn in Valier, Montana. The rooms are all equally beautiful and very clean. The Inn is an old school house from the turn of the century that has been beautifully converted to an Inn. The owner, Susan, is so creative and very entertaining. She also has 3 beautiful dogs that...

I visited Stone School Inn for the 1st time May 2010 with my significant other. We met her family who came from Colorado. We found this place to be romantic, peaceful and provided a very much needed relaxing atsmophere. We would definately return to this place again when in the area.
