This lodge could not have been better. It's personable, a little rugged, very clean, and cozy. We stayed in 17. It had a kitchenette. I was glad I had some camping-type supplies to supplement. It's a half mile from the Northeast entrance of Yellowstone. Driving in Yellowstone is long, (3-4 hours from Old Faithful) but beginning in Lamar Valley every...

We stayed 11 nights at the Grizzly Lodge in Silvergate, Montana. Our little cabin, Creekside #14, was situated along Soda Butte Creek. We could hear the creek running by our cabin....what a relaxing sound. The cabin was immaculate. The Grizzly Lodge staff makes sure you have everything you need. Do understand when you stay in the Silvergate you are staying...

Stayed 1N at a 2 bedroom cabin. Beds are comfy and clean. Bathroom is clean and having a hot shower is quite easy. Heater for room needs more power though. The person at the reception is friendly and helpful (showed us the right control for the heater) and there are 3 big dogs there that did not bother me at...

Made it to the top of Beartooth pass out of Red Lodge only to find that the road had been closed due to snow. Needless to say, by the time I got to the Northeast Entrance courtesy of the Chief Joseph Highway to 212, it was getting pretty late. There weren't any accommodations in Cooke City, so I kept on...

We really enjoyed the friendly environment and the evening fires for meeting new friends. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get away. Bob was great, Zuni was friendly and all the staff was very friendly. Easy and close to the park and the buffalo were friendly. No bears but what the heck next time.

If you have to stay in Silver Gate, then this may very well be your best option. But if you can stay somewhere else, I'd recommend it. Silver Gate is a VERY small town, with only one (mediocre) restaurant, and the hotel options are limited. The proprietor of the Grizzly Lodge was friendly and welcoming, but unfortunately that wasn't enough...

If you want an upscale hotel with wireless Internet and dozens of TV channels, this is not for you. We wanted a quiet accommodation close to the Northeast corner of Yellowstone and Lamar Valley, and our expectations were fully met. The location is beautiful. It's half a mile to the Northeast entrance to the park; on the other side there...

Rooms are dated, there is a tv which plays one channel which is a shopping channel. The rooms are clean and having a separate bedroom is nice. No wi fi, but the location is beautiful. There was a bear problem, a grizzly and some black bears hanging around and destroying cars for food. The management was very concerned about the...

I would have given this place a rating of "1", except for the fact that the manager, Bob, was super friendly and went out of his way to be helpful. The owners of this place have a better manager than they deserve for the dingy accommodations they offer at HIGHLY inflated prices. We stayed here because we could not get...

I would have given this lodge the top rating, but it doesn't have wi-fi or reliable television. I would definitely stay at this lodge again and have recommended it to my relatives who will be traveling out here. I can describe the lodge by saying that it is like going to camp. The rooms were VERY clean and the beds...
