I literally cannot say enough good things about this ranch. When we arrived, Erin, the ranch manager, gave us a tour and then let us get settled in our cabin. The cabins are rustic but incredibly cozy. You are prepared with a stack of wood, matches, and diesel soaked wood shavings to help start and maintain the fire in your...

The ranch and its owners and staff helped restore my faith in the American people -- hard working, honest, customer service driven, simplistic but effective and tasteful. I told Kurt, the owner, as much when we were departing. We will return to the ranch some day, without a doubt. We truly felt like part of an extended family. Cabins were...

From the moment we arrived, we were a part of the Covered Wagon extended family. The Owners, the Wranglers, the Ranch hands, the Cooks and support staff were all friendly, generous and so much fun. They shared their dogs, pet pig, 90+ horses and their good spirits every minute. Never a dull moment and the atmosphere was so unique that...

After five years of visiting CWR, our expectations keep growing. We have never been let down. Owners Kurt and Melissa manage the ranch. Guests manage their time and activities and the staff carries them out to perfection. If you're a first timer, you are amazed. As a returning guest, somehow it keeps getting better. We'll be back for SIX!

We discovered our little piece of heaven five years ago and it is called the Covered Wagon Ranch. If someone would have told me that after checking dude ranch off my bucket list 5 years ago I would be be celebrating my 5th straight visit I would have told them they were crazy! So why you might ask; easy it...

Me and my boys just got back from a great week at the Covered Wagon Ranch. If you're looking for easy to ride horses, spectacular views every ride, and great family people... then this is the place for you. The owners and all of the staff are terrific!

The CW provides a rustic and intimate setting that's missing form larger operations. Cozy, comfortable cabins, wonderful horses, each meal delicious beyond expectation and the most beautiful scenery one can only imagine. And just a hop skip from Yellowstone Park. I ran out of superlatives our third day. But, it's not for everyone. If you enjoy riding the most scenic...

We just got back from an amazing week at The Covered Wagon Ranch. It was our first time to Montana and I already want to go back! Kurt and Melissa were the most gracious hosts, and incredibly hard working. They made sure our stay was comfortable and that we had a fantastic time. We chose this ranch because we wanted...

I am still at ranch, but couldn't wait to say how great this place is and how wonderful all the staff is. This is a real horseback riding destination. I have been on a lot trail rides, but the one yesterday took the cake. High mountain vistas, wildlife, lunch in the mountain flowers with the horses grazing nearby, great people...

This review is so overdue it's pathetic, and my sincere apologies to Kurt, Melissa and the entire staff! The idea of spending time at a dude ranch was hatched on a whim, and I contacted a handful of ranches with inquiries. While most did call me back, Melissa was by far the most friendly and informative. Several questions were asked...
