This beautiful 100-year-old home has been meticulously renovated to retain its historic integrity, yet provide its guests with all the modern conveniences, including central heat and A/C as well as high-speed wireless Internet service and private, luxury baths. The host provides gourmet breakfasts and genuine Southern hospitality in a Montana setting, centrally located on Hwy. 93 about an hour's drive from Glacier, Big Mountain, and Fernie, BC.
My wife and I attended a 60th birthday party on Lake Koocanusa and stayed in nearby Eureka. Joan Pruett has BEAUTIFULLY improved and maintained this lovely 1908 home. Extremely comfortable four poster bed. We would stay there again and heartily recommend it to our friends. Note: we found Pruett House thru their former Bed and Breakfast site. It is no longer a BNB but good restaurants are within walking distance.

The 1908 Pruett House closed and was on the market when I tried to make reservations earlier this year for a business trip to Montana. I was dissapointed as not only was it the #1 B&B pick for the area, it had amazing character and was the perfect location for teaching evening railroad emergency classes in the surrounding communities of Tregor, Stryker and Fortine, Libby, Whitefish and the Flathead Tunnel. Well thank the stars they decided to reopen for the 2017 season and I got their Father/Grandfather's room. Absolutely LOVE IT! High, soft bed with a bed stair, plenty of warm fuzzy blankets and butter soft sheets, pedistal tub and pressed metal ceiling. That's just my room! The house is simply gorgeous and IIA truly honored to be able to stay here. But, it's still for sale so don't waot, come visit Eureka, MT and by the way, try Jax for breakfast, you won't be dissapointed!…

On our way home from Glacier Park, our car broke down in Eureka, almost across the street from this wonderful B&B. There is no sign for this place, but after serendipitously meeting the innkeeper's sister at a health food store, we found out that she had a room available for a Sunday evening stay. Joan, the owner of the Pruett House, picked us up on the highway while we were getting ready to walk to her B&B from the health food store. We thought we would hoof it back to our car and pick up our belongings and cross the street to her inn. Joan appeared out of nowhere and was so kind and generous with the offer of a ride. It was much appreciated on a hot day and especially since there is no taxi or Uber service in town. Our room had a king size bed with a private bath and was elegantly furnished. The entire house is beautifully and meticulously restored. Joan gave us a tour of the 2 rooms available and while one is larger than the other, you can't go wrong with either one. Breakfast is continental with options available in the hallway on the 2nd floor. The downtown area is just a few blocks from her place and an easy walk if you're looking for shops and/or a place to eat. Joan helped us get a mechanic for our car on the following Monday morning. She was a godsend on a hot day for a couple of people who had the good fortune to have their car break down in a friendly town. You're in good hands when you stay at this quiet, beautiful Inn.…

I found the Pruett House online, and want to highly recommend this beautifully restored bed and breakfast! Best bed ever! I stayed in the off season, so breakfast was not included in my stay, but Joan is remarkably welcoming, and should I return to Eureka, this is the first place I'll check for a reservation!

Stayed here a few times now and will again in the future. The rooms are spacious and appropriately decorated to suit the heritage theme. The beds are very comfortable and the linens are some of the finest my skin has touched. The owner is very welcoming and friendly. Excellent

This beautifully preserved classic home was the perfect place to stay. Joan, the owner, and her sister maintain this home beautifully. My room was spacious and an excellent value. While the original woodwork and decor is charming, you have all the modern conveniences to stay connected. I felt very welcome by the owners. I highly recommend these lodgings.

I picked this place because we like to enjoy more unique, local places rather than larger hotels. What I didn't expect was this level of quality! Joan was a great hostess. The rooms, house, and furnishings are top notch! We had a great night's sleep. We enjoyed the location as you could walk to restaurants and a market. We bought drinks at the local market and enjoyed them on the deck. Although breakfast wasn't served, there was a great diner within walking distance so we didn't mind. It was delicious! This property is impeccable! Thanks, Joan, for your attention to the finest detail. Our group enjoyed our stay with you!

This place is a beautiful home with an extremely considerate host. Joan is currently offering rooms without breakfast but there is a great cafe few blocks away. Beds are amazing. It is one of the best places we have stayed. She even mailed my lost book back to me. I would high recommend a stay in this lovely place.

After traveling comfortably through three Canadian provinces, we didn't know what to expect when looking for a night's lodging, somewhere just south of the border. I can say that our one-night stay in the 1908 Pruett House exceeded our expectations by every measure. Joan was a charming and gracious host. The home was comfortable, spacious and filled with everything that makes staying in B&Bs a step (make that several steps) up from the chain roadhouses and other forms of lodging. We may not ever travel through Eureka in the future, but must recommend to all others to considering staying at this first class establishment.

My golfing buddies and I don't usually stay at B&B's,but we have a lot of travel experience from our business life and, since we often traveled on expense accounts,we have occasionally enjoyed Ritz Carlton levels of service. The Pruett House is at that level and maybe higher. All under the detailed supervision on Joan Pruett who adds "gourmet cook" to her resume of innkeeper. Her breakfasts are what you might expect at a classy brunch service at many hotels. The rooms are immaculate, and the room amenities far exceed expectations. And the public rooms are decorated with art and art works that are exceptionally tasteful. Easily the best B&B I have ever experienced. John F-- Seattle
