Paige and Brandon have been wonderful hosts on our fall trips to Cooke City. Our cabin had new fridge which made meal planning very essy. The staff were very friendly, energetic and helpful. The views of Mt. Repiblic are spectacular and the sky here seems to be changing continually. We have been staying here for several years.

Soooo comfortable. Soooo cosy. And so close to north-easy entrance of Yellowstone Park. Toiletries not provided but you can purchase at the motel store. If you're planning to spend a few days it's best to stock up on food, soap, shampoo, tissues etc before arrival. Our room had full size fridge, stove, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, pots, pans, plates and...

I've been visiting Cooke city for over 20+ years. I've been staying at the high country for just as long. Cooke city is not for everyone - and that's good. But for those who want a great place to stay near the back country and rivers there is no better. What I love most is the silence at night is...

We got a standard room which was newly renovated for $120.00 plus tax. The room was nice but rather pricey but it is close to Yellow Stone 41 miles. No breakfast is included but there is a place within walking distance that serves breakfast starting at 7:00.

Management response:

Hi, I am sorry you were disappointed in your stay. We don't get complaints about the rates often as places like Gardiner and Cody are in the 250 a night range. In fact, we mostly get the "great value" comment. I do just want to let you know we are 4 miles from the park, not 41 miles. That is...

The entrance to our ground level room was wet gravel and mud - foot mat outside but not inside. The bathroom had no rack for towels by the sink or shower, but only above the toilet for storing the clean towels - a big no no. We had to bring in the bar stools by the mini kitchen to place...

Management response:

Hi, you stayed in room 9, which is one of our remodeled rooms. Hooks in that bathroom are problematic as everywhere we could put them, someone could hit their head on, or it would bang into the wall. Sorry about that, but everyone else just hangs their towels on the shower bar. I apologize for the inconvenience, Paige

Arrived late the evening of 9/12, after traveling through a wicked surprise snow storm in Yellowstone. Called mgmt from Canyon Village as snow storm was picking up to check on roads. When we arrived late in the evening (around 8pm), they had the lights on and fire place started (unit #7). The location was great and they were hospitable. Great...

Our cabin was very clean and the management was friendly. A very cute place in a small town and convenient to the park. The beds were comfortable, and the microwave and refrigerator were nice extras. We would definitely stay here again if we return to that area.

Cooke City is a small town 3 miles from the best entrance to Yellowstone Park! The NE entrance. Drive from Billings, MT to get here over the Beartooth Pass. Superb scenery! Bozeman, Cody , West Yellowstone, Gardiner have no comparison to the NE entrance from Billings! The Hotel in summer is expensive. We payed $137.50 a night with tax but...

Authentic "studio" style cabin. Beds were very comfortable with updated linens, shower curtain. The office was also a little general store with food/amenities and gifts. Right on the Main Street of the quaint town and walking distance to everything.
