Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely area with a beautiful hike right on the property. It was like a fairyland. Stayed 4 nights with the most awesome breakfast every morning! All homemade and delicious. We never needed to eat again till about 2 or 3 each...More
Nancy at Smoky Bear makes the best breakfasts! This morning we had the same fruit, a muffin, grizzly eggs, ham, walnut waffle that had a sliced orange on top and a walnut. It was served with real Canadian maple syrup! Next day she served us...More
This is only the second B&B we've ever stayed in. I always feel like I'm imposing. But Scott and Nancy have it all going on, making us feel at home, pampered and independent at the same time.
First the bed was comfortable and the lodging...More
Wow what an excellent stay. The husband and wife hosts are fantastic people, friendly and very knowledgable about the area especially Glacier National Park. The home cooked breakfasts every morning were very good. It's a nice hidden gem and our family was very glad that...More
We thoroughly appreciated the quiet, picturesque location of SBR, which was about 20 or 30 minutes from the west side of Glacier National Park. The owners were friendly and available to answer questions. They even packed us a to-go breakfast for a morning when we...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Hi, I am interested in two nights with you in June to explore West Glacier. I have a couple questions. 1) What time do you usually serve breakfast for guests? We like to get going fairly early. 2) What is the easier route to the W. Glacier entrance? I see Blakenship to the 2. Is this an easy drive? 3) I am traveling with my kids, 15yr old daughter and 11yr old son. Would we be welcome? Thank you in advance.

My husband and I stayed at Smoky Bear Ranch last September, and it was fabulous, however, I seem to remember something about restrictions on children in the main lodge - but don't remember the specifics. I checked and can't find it on the website, but it used to be there someplace... maybe it has changed. There is a cabin option, but that doesn't include breakfast, which was WONDERFUL. I don't remember what time, but I'm thinking it was 8 AM. The route you mentioned for getting to West Glacier from there was a good one, and Nancy and Scott were really helpful with directions and suggestions, they know the area REALLY well! I hope this helps you... to contact them directly to find out about their policy on kids, the phone number is: 1-800-555-3806.
