The Grizzly house was very clean with a large "great" room that was perfect for hanging out and cooking for a large group. Having a washer and dryer was really great as well. We used the grill and fire pit a few times and that...More
We rented the "Little Bear" cabin at the Smoky Bear Ranch. It was exactly as advertised. The craftmanship is very nice, and the setup makes a lot of use of a relatively small space. It has that "little house" feel that's so popular these days....More
Warm reception and kind, knowledgeable and helpful owners Scott and Nancy who can provide you with recommendations about hiking in the park as well as bear spray! Lovely, clean, quiet property and truly excellent homemade breakfast.
We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights at Smoky Bear Ranch. Nancy and Scott are delightful and gracious hosts. We appreciated their knowledge of the area and advice on places to go. Hoping to come back again soon.
We enjoyed a wonderful two nights with Scott and Nancy on their wonderfully quiet property. The homemade breakfasts were delicious and perfect pre-hiking meals. We loved the house and mingling with the other guests over morning coffee. They were especially helpful with choosing hiking spots...More

My husband and I stayed at Smoky Bear Ranch last September, and it was fabulous, however, I seem to remember something about restrictions on children in the main lodge - but don't remember the specifics. I checked and can't find it on the website, but it used to be there someplace... maybe it has changed. There is a cabin option, but that doesn't include breakfast, which was WONDERFUL. I don't remember what time, but I'm thinking it was 8 AM. The route you mentioned for getting to West Glacier from there was a good one, and Nancy and Scott were really helpful with directions and suggestions, they know the area REALLY well! I hope this helps you... to contact them directly to find out about their policy on kids, the phone number is: 1-800-555-3806.

"Choose one of the three rooms in the lodge, if you do, you will get an AMAZING breakfast prepared by Nancy."
