I dined at the Grand a few years ago but alas it was fully booked so I fitted it in with a U.S. Trip recently and stayed two nights before heading for Utah. I needn't have worried the hotel with its excellent bar and restaurant had barely changed. The big bar is superb and plenty of crac with the locals....

The hotel does not look 125 yrs. old. The room (room 12) was quaint! The quality surpasses what you will find at any boutique hotel! So many upscale hotels offer the undersized pillows--- even on king-sized beds. Not here! Also, the room had bath sheets! Not worn out, cheap towels. The only possible issue would be for those with a...

Kind of a cross between hotel and b&b. I booked a Room with private bath but some rooms have shared bath. Beautiful place, great breakfast and had a wonderful dinner in the restaurant. Easy online booking and check in/out.

We were on our way between Bozeman and Billings and checked out places to stay in Livingston, but weren't thrilled with what was available. So, we headed to Big Timber to look at The Grand. We weren't disappointed! We love historical places and also quiet stays. If you generally prefer polished and new, this place isn't for you, but if...

We search out historic hotels when we travel, so the Grand Hotel fit the bill for us. We chose to reserve a room with a bath, but after reviewing the shared bath situation, that would have been OK too. Our room was small but it was clean & the historic atmosphere of the hotel was what we were looking for....

The antiquities featured in the hotel dining room, lobby and guest rooms were amazing. Most rooms were small but very comfortable. Suites were available. Bathrooms were shared but they were clean and you felt transported back in time. Awesome breakfast in a beautiful dining room. FUn experience.

We have stayed at the grand twice. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean. The beds are the issue. We have had two different rooms both with in room bath. The bed in each was very bad. It's a nice setting, it's a cool small town, and the food at the grand is world class, it's just sad that...

Recently spent 4 nights at the Grand. I loved everything about it. Our room was quaint and comfortable. There was coffee in the upstairs common area every morning. The breakfasts which are included in your room rate was plentiful and delicious. Everyone from the reception staff to the bar staff to the dining room staff provided great service. The best...

My title indicates that this is the best place to stay in Big Timber not the only place. We did some research and found this to have very reasonable prices. Cheaper than the Super 8. Go figure. We stayed two nights we liked it so much. This place is real authentic old west. It has been updated, but the rooms...

Nice historic hotel, lots of charm. The rooms need some updating much of the decor looks like they purchased it at the second hand store down the street. Rooms are clean and comfortable, dining is superb and you get a great breakfast with your room! Wi-fi needs upgraded! Not all rooms have baths so check out their website and look...
