We were all huddled in the makeshift lobby before dinner each night. If was a little cramped with the renovations but we had crafted the rest of our itinerary before booking. We will return when it is finished, for sure. We were a little shafted with our room size since it was on the top floor and the window dormers... More

Don't pass up the opportunity to stay in this over 100 year old lodge. The rooms are quaint and clean and the staff here is very helpful. Savor the views facing Swiftcurrent Lake and Glacier National Park, some of the most spectacular in our country. I've stayed here in the past and will stay here again. I love the remoteness... More

Even though this is not the hotel in the movie, "The Shining", the solitary location of the hotel, the sparseness and age of the interior decor, and the vastness of the mountains and remoteness of the surrounding area made it seem to us we were part of the movie. The rooms were very spartan but clean and the workers were... More

My wife and I were lucky to get a last minute walk in room with a view of the lake and mountains. If you can, get a third floor room with a balcony. We had great views of the sunset, saw the sunrise light hit the top of the mountains, and took great pictures of the lake and mountains. Staff... More

Just a good starting point for Many Glacier trail. Nice gift shop, mediocre restaurant. Ok seating area to take in the view , nothing special, hopefully the renovation will change all that as this is such a special place. Crazy dirt road complete with free range cows wandering the road lead up to the hotel, making you feel like you... More

My husband and I booked our room(s) in August, 2015 so we went off the Trip Advisors' comments. We were disappointed by the room itself which was costing us $245 per night. Also, the room was on the small side. We had a lake view with a shared balcony which was the best part of the room. Our room was... More

I loved our stay at the Hotel. They were doing construction on the main part of the lobby and east wing, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our stay. We even had a blackout for a day and still didn't bother us. The hotel is a classic with lots of history. The views are worth the stay. Hands down.... More

We were nervous when we arrived because of the poor experience we had with Xanterra management the day before at Lake McDonald. Many Glacier Lodge was much better, the staff were outstanding, and illustrates how each Xanterra facility may differ according to the on-site management team. The staff met our requests in record time, eg more towels and reviewing the... More

I would love to go back to this hotel after construction. We missed the grandeur of the lobby and were cramped into a tiny spot that was the temporary lobby. We were happy to have gotten the room at all, which I smartly booked 1 year in advance. Overall the room was great, bigger than expected. It is true that... More

If your interested seeing beautiful scenery and a grand old hotel without Wi-Fi, TV, Cell phones or AC, this is the place. This is truly a View with a Room. We had a Standard room with shared balcony. To our surprise the room was large with a fireplace and windows that really opened. The view from the balcony was simply... More
