We hung out on a Sunday and the kids played in the river- collecting creatures, while the adults lounged. The bathrooms and showers were old but clean. We hope to come back again soon and stay overnight.

We rented Cabin 1 which was not the most secluded. Cabin was clean, had all basic amenities, including full size fridge. Great shower with strong pressure that was relaxing after long, hot hike. They have a trails of varying lengths which was nice. We did the 3 mile and 6 mile, both were well marked. The campground also offers camping...

Noisy park with gas powered scooters and generators. The 50 amp spots are small, the camper next to us was close to our picnic table. Never got a good night's sleep in the three nights we stayed. Wi-fi did not work well, was told it was equivalent to a DSL line coming into the park by a staff member. Not...

We stayed here over the Labor Day Weekend and was our first time at this campground. We stayed in our travel trailer and our friends stayed in their motor home. The campground was busy because of the Holiday weekend but over all people were friendly and surprisingly it was pretty peaceful and not a lot of noise. The spots that...

It was a great camping experience. The facilities "comfort stations" were clean and maintained. There were only 2 of 4 toilets working but it was still very clean. The water was hot and sinks worked well. There was electric and water at our spot and that helped with being sanitary while camping. Overall it was a pretty good experience. There...

For a state park, the spots were rather small (about the size of spots at a KOA). However, they were nice and included a fire pit. We were in a premium site which included water, sewer and 50 amp electric hookups and stayed for 6 nights. While there, we visited the store / restaurant (had Biscuits & Gravy - decent...

Had a wonderful weeked camping at this state park. Large, grassy spots that were level for the camper made it easy to set up camp and have plenty of room for the kids to roam around. Showerhouse in our loop (loop 2) was clean at all points of the weekend. The kids loved the hiking trails and riding their bikes...

We stayed at Meramec state park campgrounds and were robbed the second day there. Several family members have made this a vacation for three last 4 years and have had no problem until now. Lots of items stolen from clothes, 7 cell phones, money, tennis shoe, food etc. You name it they stole it. Also 2 other group campsites were...

We stayed in a group site. It was secluded but near eater and bathrooms. Best bathrooms and free showers! The kids had a blast. Only complaint the racoons are plentiful. We saw quite a few deer. Best camping trip and close to St. Louis.

Arrived late and was led to my site by very nice staff. Showers were great, campsite (with electricity)was lovely (once the sun came up and we could see it!!), with sites nestled in a lovely walnut grove. The river was nice -- wish we'd had time to wade, etc., but we were on our way pretty quickly the next day....
