Fancy; no. Good food and service; definitely. Two couples drove down from Salem for dinner. Montauk Restort/Restaurant/State Park is about 20 minutes from Salem. We were there in mid-March after the start of trout season. This was my second time eating there and a better experience than before. As stated, this is not where you go for ambiance . Plastic...

The park is great, love to come here for the fishing. If you are going to camp here I recommended getting anything you need outside of the park, the store sells some stuff but at a hefty price. We went to the dining room (located inside the store) for breakfast, we had the breakfast buffet, while most of the items...

We visited Mom in Missouri and used Montauk Resort with Mom (88) and brother. We rented 2 bedroom plus Murphy bed and it worked out great for the four of us for three nights. With full kitchen and grill plus outside patio with table, it was perfect for our relaxation. Most people visit for the stocked trout fishing but we...

Food was not good. Open faced roast beef was the special. It was average. My husband's 20.00 steak was awful. Did not even look like steak. My daughter's chicken fried steak was sent back and the replacement was like none I had ever seen. It was a paper thin steak and I don't believe it was deep fried. Looked like...

Wi-fi not available in condos. The restaurant was average at best. Fishing was just okay. It is crowded for fishing and you really need more than a couple for a condo. I don't think it was worth our time to return.

Great friendly staff that cannot keep up with the customers in the restaurant . Overwhelmed by 3 days of waiting 20 minutes for water. Forty to fifty minutes for a sandwich. We have decided to go to Licking or Salem to eat when staying at the lodge. The management is overcharging for just average food. Then understaffing to meet the...

We love Montauk State Park. My wife and I really enjoy trout fishing, and the park is beautiful. We typically camp when we are visiting, but this time due to the forecast we decided rather than setting up a tent this time around to stay in the motel. We paid $78 per night which seems to be overpriced for the...

Cabin 3 features 3 bedrooms with 3 queen-sized beds, microwave and TV. info and reservations here http://www.montauklodge.com/lodging/. It is a house not a cabin. It has it's own front deck with a view of the water . Tabke and chairs and BBq grill. The house is a bit run down, but rith inside the park and is semi secluded. It...

We lucked into the Montauk Resort. We had planned to stay in Farmington that night, but were unsatisfied with a motel we tried. My wife remembered seeing an ad for Montauk. We made a call and a reservation. Although the place specialized in fly fishing for trout—we were in a minority of non-fisher people. But the room was nice and...

We just spent the weekend at the state park while rafting on the current river. The park was very pretty. Very clean and workers very friendly. We stayed in cabin 29 which was a quad. Extremely clean and nice with modern touches. Fully equipped kitchen which made it so nice to be able to just grab some groceries and cook...
