This is my third time staying here and it is always a fantastic experience. They are always accommodating to anything we needed. The one guy even sang happy birthday to me! Nathan and Judi in the bar were lovely and will make any variation of drink. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay when there for work.

Stayed here for my niece's graduation. My brother stays here whenever they visit her. The rooms are large and comfortable. Front staff very helpful. Breakfast is excellent and included. Close to Washington University. Only a little dated with wood that is a little worn. Overall very comfortable.

I was last in this place a full 32 years ago. I'm told it went into decline, and the staff told me how it was sold and refurbished, and I'm glad for all of that. I just stayed one night, and enjoyed the visit thoroughly. Check-in was quick and easy, but it took some work on my part for the...

When we first walked into our room, we were delighted, until we noticed that the toilet had been used and not cleaned but had paper towels dumped in it. We called the front desk and they said they would send someone up immediately to clean it. We dropped off our luggage, and headed to the restaurant. When we returned and...

Marco was amazing he provided us with a fantastic experience. I loved the bar and cozy atmosphere. The Cheshire has an awesome staff and the rooms all have something interesting to offer. They had a clean pool and I genuinely enjoyed my stay here.

We've stayed at the Cheshire several times over the past 4 years since our youngest daughter became a student in St. Louis (in 2013, it was a luxury inn at bargain rates, and our room came with a complimentary cocktail and appetizer in the Fox and Hounds pub!) so re-booked 3 nights during our daughter's graduation week and were quite...

This was a one night trip to go apartment hunting for my daughter. The three of us enjoyed the two queen bed room, very comfortable. Loved the English Lit Author inspired rooms. We will want to go back and try different ones, I know. There was a housekeeping mix up, so we received complimentary meal at The Fox & Hound....

The hotel is very quaint and dark...which I like. Dark woods, pub type bar, literary themed rooms and a great location make this a winner in my book. Parking is odd as it is beneath the hotel and you must pay to park your own car. Charging me to park my own car is ridiculous. The Starbucks next door doesn't...

Forgot to bring towels two days in a row. One day no housekeeping at all. Hairs all over bathroom. Poor renovation job and very dated. Breakfast was solid and included fresh fruit and egg dish each day.

I was booking a 4.5 star hotel in the Forest Park / Clayton area and was surprised when I got the Cheshire which is more like a 3-star boutique hotel. In general the last couple times I've stayed here, the place just needs a tune up. The HVAC air vents need to be cleaned, the corners need to be cleaned,...
