The location is very close to Merapi Volcano. Disaster Oasis is magnificently beautiful, the houses are designed based on the type of houses from some part of Indonesia. It is very unique and special, ambience is so good and the staff are friendly. They also have a museum of disaster since its guest house is a part of an NGO... More

When we reached there, we found the landscape & view were so nice. The room that we booked also great. The... More

The food is good, for those who like Indonesian flavour.... More

As the other reviewers mentioned, this is a no frills experience. Rooms have no television or AC ( well ours didn't ) and some of the... More

I stayed here for a workshop. The Disaster Oasis was set up to serve as a training centre on disasters as well as an evacuation shelter. The buildings are supposed to be disaster resistant. This is therefore not your typical hotel. The rooms come in clusters with shared bathrooms - sometimes 1 bathroom between two rooms, or more to one... More

Disaster Oasis, has a unique property, since all the buildings represent a model home in areas affected by the disaster in Indonesia. Nice environment, fresh and cool air makes this place are fit to be a place for escape or runaway from the bustle of big cities such as Yogyakarta. Don’t expect that every room has a TV, the hotel...
