The location is great just a 5-8 min drive to the Gir National Park reception. The rooms are good sized, clean and comfortable. The property has a nice eco friendly atmosphere with the farms and orchards around it. Also within the property they have created small nooks under trees with bed swing and chair which make it a great place to spend time. The best thing about the property is their service. The staff was friendly and eager to make you comfortable and try to meet all your needs. A big shout out to Nikunj, Aman, Ajay and Siddharth who looked after us very well. And trust me we are not an easy lot. Traveling with family we were 6 adults, 1 child and 2 infants and the staff really looked after us very well. On the cons for the property - the food menu and presentation could use a bit of an upgrade but the taste was good.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at Asiatic Lion Lodge, Gir. The resort is beautifully designed and impeccably maintained, blending perfectly with the serene surroundings of Gir. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm hospitality and attention to detail.

A recent visit to Sasan Gir with family was very enjoyably. We stayed at Asiatic Lion Lodge for two nights and had booked three rooms. The property is well maintained, with good forest fill and ambience. Rooms are spacious, clean and reasonably well maintained with good security. The normal check in time is 2.00 PM. We reached the premises after that but out of three rooms booked, one was still under cleaning and was alloted after 15/20 mins.

We stayed here for one night. The property is nice but not very large area. Rooms are big and nice. They have not put any signage on the road so went till Sasan coming from Junagarh and then returned to the hotel. The approach road is bad and it takes about 15 minutes to reach Sasan Gir Gate from the hotel. There were not many guests so they had not laid any buffet for the dinner. The fixed menu dinner was good. The portions were however small. When we asked them to provide their in house guide for bird watching in the property they said it will cost Rs150 per person for the same. However they did not charge when we insisted that no resort in park area charges for this as we have been to many national parks before. But the most annoying thing was when we returned to hotel after our morning safari at about 10.30 in the morning we were told that the breakfast is over as they serve it only till 10 am. However they provided us with banana, thepla and tea. for breakfast. We asked to provide some toilet paper and were told that since the check out time is 10 am it cant be provided. However it was provided later. The morning safari ends by 9.45 am and it takes approx 15 minutes to reach this property from the gate so it is ridiculous to have check out time at 10 am. The staff is wonderful and very helpful and polite and cheerful.

I had chosen to stay in the Asiatic Lion Lodge entirely basis my excellent experience with the Velabadar Blackbuck Safari Lodge property of the same management reviewed earlier by me. Probably I hung my expectations too high due to my previous experience. Firstly, unlike the nearly full occupancy in the blackbuck safari lodge due to weekend, we were the sole inmates at the Asiatic Lion Safari Lodge, probably due to being a week day. Rather than concentrating on the few guests the staff looked crestfallen and not too keen in outdoing their colleagues at Velabadar. The food was a la carte understandably due to meagre occupancy but that doesn't explain the average food quality and flying insects fallen in some dishes. On the positive side, the Asiatic Lion Lodge is actually bigger than the Velabadar Blackbuck Safari Lodge and the cottages are more spacious suites. The lawns and the outdoor playing and recreation areas are perfectly manicured and maintained. We saw many birds and heard many more. Surrounded on three sides by agricultural farms and mango orchards the Asiatic Lion Lodge is a blissful place for a peaceful break from hurly burly of the city life. We didn't go for the routine forest Safari, preferring to soak in the solitude and spend some quality time with the family.

The lodge is nestled between the forest area and farms. It provides a tranquil experience of the forest and its sounds. Since it being an eco lodge, acute attention to detail and emphasis for sustainable local products can be seen in the choice of construction materials, furnitures and the landscape of the property, yet it gives you that vintage vibe of a British era jungle lodge. Its commendable that they utilise the treated waste water for gardening and other purposes. It was an amazing experience staying with them for my birthday. The property manager and the staff are courteous and through professionals.

Had a wonderful stay. Very few times one comes across places which checks almost all checkboxes, this was definitely one for us.
The staff is so warm and always ready to help with all requests. The rooms are very well maintained, all things required are present. The property is very well maintained has multiple spots to be able just relax. Pool was clean and decent size. They put out an entire setup of outdoor games making sure kids are busy.
Food needs special mention, we opted for all meals at the hotel, not single meal we had any complain.
Finally, staff is what makes it breaks the experience, staff and specially Sudarshan made our stay very comfortable.
Will definitely recommend this place and will visit back again.

We had a fantastic stay at the Asiatic Lion Lodge. The place is surrounded by beautiful greenery and is very peaceful, making it perfect for relaxing. The food was amazing, with lots of delicious options to choose from.

We loved our stay at Asiatic Lion Lodge, this lush open resort is welcoming, open and the people running the resort make sure you are welcomed and checked out with a smile. You’ll love to spacious rooms that can hold upto 3 adults comfortably. The food in the Flavours of the Forest is made fresh and so tasty. We enjoyed Kathiyawadi cuisine, cooked in house and loved the delights. Once you have the permit booked from the official website, sit back and relax, they’ll take care of the rest. They have a swimming pool, indoor games are, and outdoor games area. Enjoy your visit to a nearby village on a bullock cart, or just walk with the resort guide in the mango farms. Evenings are for wildlife documentaries, and star gazing. We loved our 3 night stay, and look forward to visiting again.
