I wish I had read the reviews first! There was no alternative accommodation available so unfortunately I had no choice but I will be writing a letter to the Minister of Tourism. Rodent faeces on the bedroom floor, snail trails on the lounge room rug. No coat hangers in the wardrobe but no matter, the wardrobe has a severe damp...

We have been to Tasmania 10 times and have yet to come across cottage accommodation as disappointing as these 'cottages'!! I walked in to Rose Cottage to find a sitting area smaller than my family bathroom with a kettle, toaster and bar fridge bring the only food preparation facilities, AND A MUSTY SMELL!!! I immediately called the manager and cancelled...

A good web site but that's about it. After reading other reviews I wish we had of read the previous reviews before making our decision to book. Surprised that the owners are not taking these reviews seriously. We have the same opinions, furnishings leave a lot to be desired, spiders and cobwebs in the bathroom, threadbare linen, light globs out...

Due to accommodation being at a premium in Tasmania this March, we had to book ahead to ensure we had a bed for our recent holiday. Our last 3 night stay was to be in Richmond due to its heritage status, proximity to the airport and central to the Coal River Valley attractions. We booked the Jasmine Cottage at Richmond...

It is what it is, I guess. A very old cottage smack bang in the middle of town. Furnishings and décor are really past their use by date, the bedspreads need to be replaced pronto, as they are stained and not so great. On the upside, for the price, the spa and the location are good. If you need a...

Like everyone else we were so dissapointed. It is very confusing because there is Boutique Cottages (which I thought we were booked into) and Richmond Boutique Cottages. Very dirty, the floors have not been mopped for a while, cobwebs everywhere, bed terrible, bathroom as others have described. After running a Bed and Breakfast I am very disturbed to think the...

I really dont know where to start with this property, if you are after location and nothing else then it may be for you. The smell when you first walk in just takes your breathe away it is musty. The site is avertised as cottages but be warned it is one house divided into three or four. The bathroom in...

The location is excellent. Right in the middle of Richmond. We found the room layout to be unusual and pokey. Spa was great. Bed was comfortable and too close to the wall. Breakfast cereal was simple and unexpected; breakfast was not advertised as being provided. Parking was good. The owners were lovely and helpful.

We arrived early & we're pleased to be able to check in. We were disappointed that the cottage was not a "cottage" as described on the web - missed the conjoined comment! The rooms were very small & cold. There was an electric heater in the tiny lounge but it didn't heat up the other rooms. Unfortunately you can hear...

10 fabulous days in Tassie, luckily we got this horrid experience out of the way on the first night. If you book Rose Cottage (please don't) be ready...you can't swing a cat in the bedrooms, it was very musty and mouldy and the provisions were a joke. To top it all off if you moved within 2 metres of the...
