We had been driving most of the day and were not too keen to keep looking for accommodation. There were a few places that had no vacancy signs so we were not prepared to look further when we saw this one available. At first we were shown a rather large cottage that was more then our needs but were then...

We arrived in richmond around 5.30 to find most places fully booked. Called into red brier cottages on the off chance of staying. We were given the basic room only to find a gorgeous cottage. 2 bedrooms, lounge and breakfast provided. Lovely bathroom and decorated nicely. It was warm and inviting. We would recommend this highly

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the 2 bedroom cottage. Lovely warm, and welcoming, after a long day on the road. Well equipped, clean, and comfy. The free wifi was an unexpected bonus. Walking distance to all the attractions in Richmond. I highly recommend this place.

As we were travelling with my parents thought we would stay in a house rather than hotel. Having visited Richmond on day trips from Hobart before thought it would be an ideal base for a long weekend. So booked Red Briar Villa online. Parents flew down from MEL in the afternoon and checked in and were surprised with the lovely...

Having just had a great stay in this wonderful little place I was somewhat surprised at the previous review. We found Veanne the perfect host; she looked after us like family. On a cold day she turned the heater on for us, she left a wonderful breakfast of bacon, eggs and bread for us to cook in the great little...

So I called up to enquire on a few things about the red brier villa to be rudely met by an obnoxious lady on the other end of the line. I was so close to booking this place until I called to ask whether or not there was a washing machine and spa tub available and her response was short...

The cottage is marvellous. And SUCH an attentive landlady! We've been to a lot of places around the world but none better. I have seen the villa and loved it too but the cottage was right for us. What a gorgeous spot. Cannot recommend any more highly than to say it is the best.

After reading all the great reviews here on TA, I thought we would book to stay here on agoda.com But we were rather disappointed so this is just an honest account. First the good stuff. 1. Richmond is a nice country town amongst wineries, like Yarra valley or Hunter valley. Handy if you wanted to do some wine tasting. It...

“3 types of accommodation provided; 2 rooms with ensuite and lounge in main cottage (our original booking), a 2 bedroom cottage, and the 2 bedroom villa. Apparently all have queen beds. Well worth the extra for the villa which is at the back of the property but still within walking distance of shops, restaurants and attractions.”
